" All you ever wanted to know about werewolves, and their human and vampire friends. I think I liked this one better than a few of the other books, they start to get out of hand later on in the series. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Karma | 2/10/2014

" Oh my gosh, this series is amazing and addictive! Each one gets better. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Emmy | 2/5/2014

" This one was definitely better than the first one, but still not up to par with any of Anne Rice novels or even Twilight. They are very violent and the author's writing style needs work. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jennifer | 1/25/2014

" Anita Blake's life is far from dull when she starts dating a werewolf and continues her assisting the police. In "The Lunatic Cafe" Blake is trying to find out who is killing lycanthropes. As with the previous books in the series, nothing (or should I say no one) is quite what they seem. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jade | 1/23/2014

" This would have to be my favourite book in the Anita Blake series so far. I like how the characters are FINALLY developing. I love Jean-Claude as always, but now Richard is definitly growing on me, unlike in the last book. The actually murder investigations were ignored a little bit but I still really enjoyed this book, bring on the next one! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Loretta | 1/19/2014

" Those lycanthropes are wicked! LOVE IT! LKH keeps things moving just as fast and just as tightly woven as she did in Laughing Corpse! She is a bit repetitive, it seems, but it reinforces where Anit is and where she is going! Again, a great addition to my library! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 J. | 1/15/2014

" Much more interesting; I found myself more drawn to the personal story than the over arching plot in this one, which is good. I'm starting to give a darn about the characters. Anita is starting to get a clue about her life, though she's still mostly in denial. I do like the tension between Jean-Claude, Richard and Anita, and I'm waiting to see where this goes. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Rhiannon | 1/9/2014

" Werewolves... The tension in this story with the triangle love story is so intense. Anita is caught between a vampire she hates to love and a werewolf she "should" hate and is still the savior of the day. The climax of this read is wonderfully thought out and executed, be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat the whole time reading it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kirsty~Vhixen | 1/8/2014

" this one focuses mainly on the weres and police work. it's better than the earlier ones but still not at it's peak yet. Anita's still way too gun happy. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kim | 1/7/2014

" Its getting better - not a bad read - the character is fleshing out nicely.... "

" I may be a little obsessed with this series. "

" Predictable. Don't know why I keep reading them. I do know it's to spite the penguins. It just creeps me out. Something keeps pulling back to read the next. Guess I'm waiting for Anita and Jean-Claude to do the deed. That I have to read "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Caroline | 12/16/2013

" Another amazing addition to the Anita Blake series! I couldn't put this one down! Jean Claude is Hot, Richard is sweet for now and Anita is bad ass! I highly recommend this book! Now on to the next.... Bloody Bones! "

" I didn't like most of this one. Blake came off as too girlish and the whole thing read sort of Twilight-y. Hate it when the bad-ass heroine goes all girly. I hope the next one is better. "

" This one didn't do much for me. Richard annoys me, the writing was sloppy and frantic, and I'm tired of Anita talking about her guns, her holsters, and her clothing choices for hiding her guns and holsters. Hoping #5 is better... "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nicole | 5/26/2012

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Gilbert | 12/14/2011

" I think this was the first one I read. Then I backtracked. The story gets kind of lame toward the end with a were swan. Sort of like a were wolf but a swan. Pretty weak, huh. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Shelly | 9/27/2011

" I like this series a lot for its return to the root of the vampire novel. However, this is the one book of the series thus far that I have found brought forth too much of the common height. Choose ONE man lady! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Sonya | 5/24/2011

" Not my favourite book. I'm not really a big fan of Richard. I think he is far to whiny to be a good match for Anita. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Mel | 5/20/2011

" No matter how hard I tried, I just could not get into this book. The main character, Anita Blake, simply pissed me off more and more and the characters seemed less and less built up and more simplistic and blah. All in all, a disappointment to the Anita Blake series. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Daniela | 4/13/2011

" I have NO idea why I even read four of these books!!! I thought maybe...just maybe...at some point, they'd get better. I didn't even finish this one. This is honestly, one of the WORST Paranormal series, that I have EVER come across! Don't waste your time! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Amy | 3/23/2011
