" This book is fascinating and awesome and totally stellar!!! I can't wait to get the next book. I love how strong she is in the book and how she is so secure. "

" I took a break for a while from Laurell's books and picked this one up... it was ok - I got about 3/4 the way through before skimming. No sex. I have a problem with the fact that Anita Blake instantly said she loved What's his name Jean Claude (sp?) Shr avoided and ran from him for six books - now she loves him? Please. "

" It seems to be an ongoing problem with the author -- she starts out developing something new (firebug!) and then vampire politics swamps the narrative. Sigh. I give this one points for bringing Larry back, partly because Larry's a nice reminder that this series started out about necromancy, and partly because Larry's a nice emotional foil for the increasingly "practical" Anita. "
