"I don't usually enjoy books with such a technical nature, but due to my mother's dementia, I wanted to become more informed on the intricacies of the brain. I hope to avoid such brain disorders. Dr. Amen also goes into ADHD and bipolar disorder with some great suggestions for natural help through herbs, vitamins, diet and etc. If your looking for information of this nature, it is a great resource."

    " I only got through 2/5 of this self help book, which was 2/5 too much time invested. It's been over three years since I haven't been able to finish a book, as I keep on thinking it's going to get better. At one point I thought, maybe I'd like it better, if I just picked out sections that pertained to me. However, when I read about the, "well designed study" of 13 patients, I thought differently. I don't care how well designed a study is, if you have so few participants how can one but question the author's methodology? Don't think I've had such strong negative feelings about a book since Home. "

Daniel G. Amen, M.D., is a clinical neuroscientist, psychiatrist, and brain-imaging expert who heads up the world-renowned Amen Clinics. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has won numerous writing and research awards.
