In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans have coexisted in (relatively) bloodless harmony...until the arrival of Bishop, a master vampire who threatens to put the evil back in evil undead and smash the fragile peace. But Bishop isn't the only threat....
Violent black clouds promise a storm of devastating proportions. As student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against the elements—both natural and unnatural—the unexpected happens: Morganville's vampires begin to vanish one by one. Discovering why leads Claire to one last choice: Swear allegiance to Bishop...or die.

"This is the 5th book in the series and I felt this one started off all action packed but then slowed down then got better at the end. It drew me in to want to like one of the characters I really did not like and I liked that part it was written very well. The end stopped like almost all of her books so far, but I love how the next book always pick up right where the last book ends. I am now starting the next book and will see where the next one take me. "

" Its the New York riots in in Morganville. Bishop on one side, Amelie on the other and discontent humans on the other. To make matters worse theres a storm on the way. The more I read this series, the more I fall in love with the characters. They continually develop throughout the story. The greatest part of the these stories is theres no predictability. "
— destiny, 7/12/2017" Need the next book... Now!!! "
— Cupcake, 2/20/2014" Perfect if you're looking for a light read. Not so good if you're looking for any kind of character development or any real deviation in the plot line. "
— Lindy, 2/17/2014" Damn. This series just keeps getting better! I am so going to read the rest of this series, it is becoming intense and awesome. "
— Ayaan, 1/21/2014" Well that was a giant disappointment. I was expecting something a lot different and maybe a book that didn't feel like a chapter of a larger book. The cliffhanger ending to these books drives me insane. I don't know if I'll bother to read the other books in the series when they come out. Claire is also a bit boring and I still can't see her motivations for jumping into every single problem. "
— Shae, 1/14/2014" Love this book! Love Shane!! "
— Lexi, 1/14/2014" Another action packed story. I really enjoy these books but the cliff hanger ending drive me crazy :). "
— Victoria, 1/7/2014" Meh...I'm kinda getting bored with the series. "
— Jamie, 1/7/2014" Can we not all swoon at Shane on the front? I personally would sleep with this cover if it wouldn't damage the book. "
— Kaitlyn, 12/26/2013" the story dragged on a little. in the end it was a big shocker and i cant wait to find out what happenes. "
— Emma, 8/10/2013" I enjoy this series. They are a quick read. I read one or 2 within 24 hours and the story has cliffhangers like a friday soap opera. Just doesn't ever end on a "clean" ending. I will be sad when I can't just pick one after another. "
— Gogo, 12/2/2012" I had started this book long ago but after three or four chapters I got bored and left it. Now I believe I was wrong to because it actually was a good story. Claire does seem to be followed by disaster though... "

— Martin, 4/9/2012" Hmm this was ok but I hope the next book is better. There were ideas blatantly from other vamp series *cough* twilight *cough* . I'm intrgued to see what Amelie's game plan is. "
