Claire Danvers has her share of challenges—like being a genius in a school that favors beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm, and above all, finding out that her college town is overrun with vampires. On the up side, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend named Shane, whose vampire-hunting dad has called in backup: cycle punks who like the idea of killing just about anything.
Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls' Dance and—surprise!—Claire and her equally outcast best friend, Eve, have been invited. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out—and everybody's hungry for blood.

"The narration is so much better than the first book I feel. Rachel Caine has done a great job with this book I could not stop listening because she makes the flow of the book so great. This one is now starting to add new players and getting more in-depth to start understanding the characters. I am really starting to love this series of books. I like that we are getting to know the characters better and the dynamic of each one is starting to show more. I am on the 3rd book now and can not wait to see what happens next. "

" I liked this installment of the series better than the first one. I DO have to remind myself, at times, while reading what it was like to be 16 when I see some of the insane decisions that Claire makes, but being 16 is all about making bad decisions - so it makes her a believable character. "
— Amy, 2/17/2014" The second instalment of Rachel Caine's best selling series definitely does not disappoint. It can be hard for sequels to live up to the first book, but Dead Girls' Dance succeeds in knocking the reader over with suspense, humour and a lil bit of love. "
— Pamela, 2/10/2014" Good but it dragged on a bit. The middle was kind of boring. I loved the ending, though and that made up for it. "
— Madie, 2/3/2014" I don't think I can continue reading this series. It just isn't sparking enough interest... "
— Aneesa, 1/30/2014" Starting to love the series! cant wait to read the next one. "
— Maddie14, 1/24/2014" The girl is very brave and very loving and so are her friends... But how are they gonna get her out of the mess she got herself into in the last part?! Have to read the third book then. "
— Andrea, 1/14/2014" Review to come soon. But it was awesome!! "
— Jess, 12/21/2013" I have learned that you should be carefull about who you mess with. Some people really have much power. "
— PekeDevil, 12/2/2013" Rachel Caine writes one of my favorite vampire YA series. She is the queen of the cliffhanger. "
— Jordan, 11/18/2013" Thin plot lines and completely predictable. Moderatey entertaining though. "
— Kelsey, 3/6/2013" not the best language, but has good plot. "
— Hannah, 2/27/2013" Yay! the Morganville Vamps are back! Great seires should be read_______Kae "
— Kae, 12/7/2012" There were a few reactions from the characters that I didn't understand. But, all in all, I like this book....enough to reach for the next one. "
— Arla, 11/19/2012" finished it in two days!! amazing "
— Tasha, 3/19/2012" Loved it,have them all on my Kindle and just go from one onto the other. Great reading! "
— Raelene, 12/14/2011" I'm really enjoying this series. I love the characters. "
— Mary, 11/23/2011" Just started reading this book. It is kind of a kiddy series, but I'll see how much better it gets. I absolutely LOVED the Twilight series and those were kiddy too........Had to put it down, tried for a month to get into these and just can't :( "
— Kelly, 8/29/2011" 3.5 stars. I like this series because the setting is super creepy, the main character is strong and loyal to her friends and it has just the right amount of plot action to romance ratio. I will continue to read this series as well. "
— Celeste, 7/12/2011" I'm still not sure whether I want to give it three or four stars... But three for now. Pretty good, yes. Didn't think it was as good as the first one, though. A little too much of the "Omg, he's sooo hot" feeling. "
— Lucy, 7/6/2011" Fun with lots of action. These books are just really short. "
— Ashley, 6/22/2011" A bit darker Vampire series. It is an interresting story with unusual twists. I do not feel it is for the young teen however. There are sexual references and adult situations. "
— Susan, 5/25/2011" A really good book, the story and characters develop nicely. It's quite fast paced which made me get through it quickly and left me wanting for more. "
— Lopeanha, 5/24/2011" another great installment. can't wait for the next. I hope Clair can handle the trouble she is about to sign up for. "
— Shannon, 5/17/2011" Ok, nobody is ever going to confuse the Morganville vampire books with great literature, but so far, they have been a fun little escape. Interesting characters and a good story. And I have to say that I'm happy this one ended with much less of a cliff-hanger than the first one! "
— Myra, 5/14/2011" This is a really great series...action-packed and written very well! But, sadly, too much language for me and I think I will have to stop at this book. But if you don't mind the language, I highly recommend it! 5 stars for the story and the writing...3 stars because of language. :( "
— Carrie, 5/3/2011" Great follow up, and even better than the first in a way. Not a compulsive series for me, but when I read it, I thoroughly enjoy it. :) "
