Don't miss Evermore, the first book in Alyson Noël's #1 New York Times bestselling The Immortals series. Enter an enchanting new world where true love never dies. . .

After a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppress her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.

Damen is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head—wielding a magic so intense, it's as though he can peer straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is—or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

" I started this series not sure if I would like it but a few friends told me it was good. They were correct. It is not about vampires or ware-wolfs so that was a new twist. The main character was Ever and her love/hate interest was Damon a immortal who lives forever. We don't get that much information about him in this first book but I think it will come as the series continues. This book was all about how they meet and how Damon tires to keep his immortality a secret. In the end Ever finds out and Damon Ex tries to kill her but Ever wins in the end. I am moving on to the next book we will see where Alyson will take us. "

" When everyone in Ever's family is taken in a car crash, except her, she goes into a stage of undying guilt and depression. Resigning from her life as the pretty popular girl, she decides to hide in the shadows and live in her guilt. But as she gets out of the hospital she starts to see colours surrounding people and with a single touch, she experiences the past, present and future of this person. Slowly Ever gets used to seeing people's aura's and makes it her goal to not touch people, this new system now comes familiar to Ever. But when Damen, comes to Ever's new high school, everyone falls instantly in love with him, but when everyone see's charm, beauty and mystery, Ever see's something dark and mysterious. But what Ever can't figure out is that Damen doesn't have an aura and when she comes into contact with him, no visions of his life. This leaves Ever more questions than answers. What Ever knows for sure is that the only people who don't have aura's are people who are dead and she suspects there is something dark and dangerous in Damen's past. So, when he takes a sudden interest in Ever, she instantly suspicious, but when he touches her, all the colours and voices goes numb, there is only her and him. More than anything Ever wants her life to go back to normal and she feels Damen is the key but with his continuous disappearances, she doesn't know if he is trustworthy. Will Ever be able to get over her past and look forward to future and will she be able to solve the mystery of Damen before something goes terribly wrong? An amazing series : ) "
