Without the evil vampire Bishop ruling over the town of Morganville, the resident vampires have made major concessions to the human population. With their newfound freedoms, Claire Danvers and her friends are almost starting to feel comfortable again.
Now Claire can actually concentrate on her studies, and her friend Eve joins the local theater company. But when one of Eve's castmates goes missing after starting work on a short documentary, Eve suspects the worst. Claire and Eve soon realize that this film project, whose subject is the vampires themselves, is a whole lot bigger—and way more dangerous—than anyone suspected.

"Okay this book was great! I loved how we got a new character in this one and how she mixed up a lot of trouble for just one person. How I thought she was just wanting to wiggle her way in but she had a agenda of her own. Then at the end everyone had to pull together to help her even though she did not deserve it. The twist at the end was great I did not see that coming at all. Again a great book form Rachel Caine. Still moving on to the next book "

— Sarah, 1/31/2014" This book is good (: ...i couldnt believe what kim did!! >.< she needs Jesus! omg i dnt like her !! shes so manipulative!! cant wait to read the next book of the series to see if she gets killed!! >:) "
— Talia, 1/19/2014" The best of the series so far . . . fast paced and nice, unexpected plot turns. "
— Joep, 1/17/2014" Everything is going insane....and I love it. "
— Eves, 1/7/2014" I like this series, but it is starting to have a formula feel to the story lines. I'm still entertained and will continue to finish the series. "
— Susan, 1/2/2014" loved it! the morganville series just gets better and better! this book was one of the funnier ones, too!! and I love that we're getting to know Myrnin better, he is the coolest mad-scientist-vampire-in-bunny-slippers ever!! "
— Jackie, 12/29/2013" Absolutely loved Fade out! I couldn't put it down! I was so sad when it had to end! I really don't like the Kim character! I wanted to slap her! "
— Kandy, 12/12/2013" Liked it. Gosh, Kim was a real bitch. I don't think I've ever hated a character so much, plus, she made a pretty huge mess in Morganville. And poor old Ada :( I kind of liked her craziness. "
— Claudette, 10/15/2013" A really good book filled with adventure a excitment. :) A must read.... "
— Kat, 10/6/2013" Just like with the other books I loved it. Don't think I will ever get enough of Morganville vampires, or Shane ;) But lets be honest here, Myrnin is definitely my second favorite character. His craziness makes it hard not to love him. "
— Halie, 4/23/2013" I enjoyed this one, although it was not my favorite. It had very interesting twists and turn throughout. I hated Kim, I thaught she did things that are just wrong not to mention immoral. It did add some drama to the story. I am looking forward to continuing the series. "
— Wendy, 3/29/2013" Another good read shame about Ada going all crazy on Claire was also annoyed at the thought of Kim trying to take Shane from Claire looking forward to reading book 8 :) "
— Katy, 3/27/2013" I'd give this 3.5. I'm still enjoying this series, but this book was probably one of my least favorite. I do love Myrnin's wardrobe, though! One question: What was in the velvet box Shane showed Claire at the end of book #6? This was a teaser from the last book that was never answered in Fade Out. "
— Carie, 12/24/2012" Weird thing about kim anyways love the bunny fang slippers I wonder where he bought them "
— Kat, 12/11/2012" It was a great book(As always) but what was the deal with Kim? Talk about a pervert. I can't believe she watched all that...urgh. Makes me want to throw up. Ada was nuts but in the end she done the right thing, I guess. I have this weird feeling Amelie needs another vamp computer now... "
— Emiri, 9/19/2012" i loved this book because it shows that even though you live in a town of vamp's you can still find your true love no matter what "
— Justice, 9/5/2012" Still an enjoyable read, but not one of the better ones in the series. I liked the scenes with Ada but Kim was all kinds of annoying and the story didn't grab me this time. "
— Roxy, 6/8/2012" I liked the difference-ness of this taking place outside of morganville, but otherwise nothing spectacular ... a lot more action adventure (which isn't my personal fave) than the other books in the series! "
— Amanda, 4/30/2012" I love this book so much anyone would enjoy reading this book so go on a buy it u would love it "
— Bryony, 3/20/2012" Expected a big cliffhanger, and what did I get? nothing... ugh. I really hope the next one is better. "
— Alexandra, 2/6/2012" OMG! This was such a good book! It was really different from the rest of the series because the complication was more a human thing than a vampire thing. It was really good! "
— Alyssa, 5/9/2011" Not the best from the morganville series, but still really enjoyed it. cant wait to start kiss of death! "
— Charlie, 4/20/2011" My Mom's Rating. ^ _ ^ "
— Ariel, 4/14/2011" I really enjoy reading this series, its fully of cliffhangers that are never dull. Myrnin is my favorite character! "
— Seneca, 4/6/2011" 7th morganville vamp series w/Ada trying to kill Claire over Myrrin "
— Michelle, 4/1/2011" This installment was a little slower than some of the others, but still good. "
— Sue, 4/1/2011" Definatly a big improvment on the last one.
Fade Out introduces Kim and sets Morganville up for a massive ending... will it happen? "
— Tara, 3/31/2011" Its not as good as the other books in the series but it's un-put downable. :) "
— Berni, 3/28/2011" A few anti-climatic parts... Still a fun read, but not my favorite. "
— Jenn, 3/23/2011" Fade out stared out a little boring until they found out who was the one filming all of morganville "
— Black, 3/21/2011" An intense and wonderful read in the creepy sense.

"
