Publisher Description

After discovering that vampires populate her town, college student Claire Danvers knows that the undead just want to live their lives. But someone else wants them to get ready to rumble.

There's a new extreme sport getting picked up on the Internet: bare-knuckle fights pitting captured vampires against each other—or humans. Tracking the remote signal leads Claire—accompanied by her friends and frenemies—to discover that what started as an online brawl will soon threaten everyone in Morganville.

"This book was written unlike the other ones. We got to see things through Shane's point of view and it was really cool to see what he was thinking. Getting a different point of view in this book was really good because it revolved around Shane and what he was doing and feeling. Rachel Caine did a great job in keeping the action going and I loved how Mernin came to help in the end. Awesome book. I hope she continues to let us see things through other characters eyes in the next book too. "

    — Publishers Weekly
  • “The Glass House foursome is back in the 10th installment of Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampires. Claire, Shane, Michael, and Eve are plunged into the middle of another battle for the town of Morganville, Texas, where the peace between humans and vampires is growing unstable.”

    — ALAN Review
  • “In this newest chapter of the Morganville Vampire series, Caine adds extra insight by including periodic slices of the first-person thoughts of Claire’s boyfriend, Shane. The friendships in this series are facing formidable odds, and Caine does a terrific job of keeping the tension fierce and the danger palpable. Great stuff!”

" I truly enjoyed this book. Anytime I can read a book and I feel the desire to take a character or two and shake them or even scream at them, it has its desired affect. Rachel Caine did it again. I was thoroughly intrigued and am still loving characters Michael, Eve, Shane & Myrlyn. They literally crack me up. A true page turner. As usual, Rachel leaves something unfinished so you have to wait for the next book to find out what's going on next in Morganville. "

" Aw, what a lovely ending. I think that would have made such a good ending to the series, but the whole way through the book I just wanted to scream at Shane! Ugh he was annoying, and it pisses me off how weak Claire is, just giving in and going all i love you Shane so i forgive you straight away. So annoying! But other than that, still loving this series! But not my favourite one... "

" Man I love this series. I just finished reading it a second time so it would be fresh for "Last Breath." I love how there is always suspense. I cant believe the Claire and Shane bit of it. Can't wait to see what happens next. "

" I would really like to give this one a 3.5 because it was good, but not fantastic. I hate when books switch from one POV to another. It smacks of fan fiction and fan fiction is free, not $10. That being said, I really enjoyed the character development and how frequently Myrnin appeared in the story. "

" This was my introduction to The Morganville Vampires by Charlaine Harris. I received my copy as a first-reads giveaway recently and really had fun reading it. Claire Danvers, her roommates;Shane(her boyfriend),Michael (the vamp)and Eve (the Goth)whom is dating Michael, live together in The Glass House. Join this bunch of characters on their many adventures, you won't be disappointed! "

" I think I'm done with this series. I'm finding them written more and more poorly than the previous and they're also so immature. I know they're teen books but they don't need to sugarcoat things! Teens know what sex is. Calling it something else or tiptoeing around the word almost mocks them. I'm just over this. "

" This book was ok but the swapping between shane and Claire, while it was good to see Shane's perspective it did get annoying, I didn't know whether I was coming or going and it wasn't very clear where one ended and the other began but it was a good storyline "
