Plot Summary

E.L. James continues her sexy yet shocking story in the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey in a way that is sure to leave the reader yearning for more. The Fifty Shades Darker audiobook follows Anastasia Steel through her journey as she begins a new career, apart from her former lover, Christian Grey. She has ended their relationship and started her professional life over again, as an employee for a Seattle Publishing House.

Even though Ana has made a decision to leave her sexual experiences with Christian behind, her heart yearns for him more than ever before. Not only that, she is plagued with repeated advances from her sleazy new boss, which only bring her memories of her time with Christian to the surface.

After only a few days, Christian approaches Ana with a new arrangement; one that she can't refuse. She succumbs to his desires for her once again, only this time she learns even more about the dark past of her irresistible lover. Ana, much to her chagrin, comes face to face with women from Christian's past.

Christian, it appears, is beginning to let down his guard with Ana. Will he be able to let it down enough to keep her from leaving her again? Can he give her enough of his heart to secure her place by his side forever? You'll have to check out the Fifty Shades Darker Audiobook for the answer to those questions.

No one was as surprised as E. L. James herself with the immediate success of the Fifty Shades trilogy. Fifty Shades of Grey, the first book in the trilogy, which began as Twilight fanfiction, set the tone for a harrowing journey into the lives of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. James describes the series as her "fantasies...and that's it." She is excited about how successful the series has been and when asked about what she planned to write next, replied, "...who knows?"

The Fifty Shades Darker Audiobook is available for download at www.theaudiobookstore.com.

"Well lets just say that E L James did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this book and I'd say that this is my favourite out of the three. Again, her writing style isn't all that wonderful but I think the actual story is very gripping, like the first. And like Fifty Shades of Grey, I couldn't put the book down! I think that, again, the sex scenes could've been better spaced, but the detail kind of made me look forward to the next one, and the next one. An great fantastic read. WELL DONE JAMES!"

" Ok, up to 2 stars because Christian is turning out to not be so f'd up now that we are getting a glimpse into his past. Don't get me wrong, he is still a very f'd up person, but don't we all tend to judge less once we start to understand someone's real story. But other than that, Anastasia still bothers me, and the book in a literary sense in just crap. Terrible even. I do find myself skipping over the love making scenes simply because they are all so similar and frequent and all I really care about is the non love making parts- the love story if you will. And yet, after reading the first two I understand why so many women are enthralled. Sadly. Bad writing tends to make me happy because I can read a book in a day or two. Reading books this awful actually brings a certain amount of joy into my life. Scratch that. I'll admit though the story is crap, I continue reading because deep down I do love a good love story, even if it is a really f'd up love story. Hmmmm, what does that say about me!? Ok rambling complete and I will get through the third quickly, maybe just so that I can move on to far better works and try to forget this terrible mind scaring trilogy. I hope. "

BY THE TIME I GOT TO FIFTY SHADES (BOOK 3) I SIMPLY COULD NOT GET IN TO IT. I REALLY DONT MIND SEX PARTS AND EVEN EROTIC SEX IS A GOOD READ FOR ME. BUT THERE WAS JUST WAY TO MUCH SEX IN THESE BOOKS TO KEEP ME INTERESTED. MAYBE ONE DAY I WILL FINISH THE 3rd BOOK AND FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. "

" I continued reading it, knowing that it's porn (hehe..). Still curious (..and I kind of started to picture Ian Somerhalder as Christian, and I'm Anastasia. Lol! But it doesn't mean that I already like the book). I just wanted to finish reading them all so it would be fair to judge it. "

" Just like the first book in this series, this one is just as trashy and just as entertaining. It's meant to be good fun and if you view it as simply that then it's very enjoyable. "
