Publisher Description

“The world of the Hollows is fast-moving, funny, harrowing, and scary, and—the greatest compliment to a fantasy—absolutely real.” New York Times bestselling author Diana Gabaldon

Kim Harrison is a New York Times-bestselling phenomenon, in the superstar pantheon along with Laurel K. Hamilton and Charlaine Harris of Sookie Stackhouse fame. Return to “the Hollows” in White Witch, Black Curse, as tough-as-nails bounty hunter witch Rachel Morgan seeks vengeance for the death of her lover among the creatures of the night. Indeed, Charlaine Harris herself has nothing but praise for Harrison’s peerless protagonist, promising, “You’re going to love this bounty hunter!” White Witch, Black Curse is contemporary dark fantasy at its electrifying best.

"Consistently good writer in the urban fantasy genre. I love how the author is NOT taking the whole "Laurell K Hamilton" route, and that she's not only using the standard characters (vamps and weres) but is also bringing in much underused characters like pixies and banshees. Yay for someone finally writing about banshees! (I've almost forgiven her for killing of Kisten...)"

" I very much enjoyed the latest tales of Rachel Morgan. After Kisten was killed in the previous books, I was very happy to see Rachel regain some balance and the potential for happiness. I am looking forward to see how Pierce plays a role in future books. "

" I didn't really finish this one. I've read several of the others in the series and enjoyed them. It seems that every book she writes puts the main character into more trouble with no way out. This one had way too much angst and not enough humor or good things happening. I liked the characters, especially the pixie Jenks, but enough's enough. The author needs to give them all a break and insert a little bit more sunshine. "

" I am so tired of these characters. I read a few of the books in this series years ago and then put it down. I thought I would try to pick it back up but it is just a waste of my time. The characters are annoying and the story moves along very slowly. "

" Yet another WONDERFULLY ENTERTAINING edition from Kim Harrison! I loved it! One of the reasons I love this series and this author so much is the very lack of slow, drawn out areas in the book. So much happens that you just can't wait to read the next page! "

" I was a little skeptical at first. Almost seemed to close to the series by Laurell K. Hamilton, but I was wonderfully surprised with the story telling and the plot. It stood on its own as a work of incredible fiction. I would highly recommend this author and have to my friends. "

" I was glad to finally have closure on a storyline that has been dragging on for awhile. This book was so different for me than the others. Rachel was pretty much magically "out of commission" for most of the book and I missed reading about her kicking butt, but I still really liked it. "

" so much action and fun. Al has some funny moments in this book, along with his normal demon attitude and actions. Missed Ceri in this book. Interesting happenings with Trent. Finally solved Kisten's murder. A new character introduced in this book and Rachel's brother is in it. "
