Publisher Description

The author of the bestselling Dead Witch Walking makes her hardcover debut with this spellbinding new supernatural adventure featuring the highly original Rachel Morgan.

Things are going well for Rachel Morgan, witch, independent runner, and one-third of the runner service Vampiric Charms. She’s got a business, friends, even a semi-regular—and always-sexy—boyfriend. So what if Kisten is a vampire? So’s her roommate Ivy....

But an unexpected call for help sends her out of Cincinnati on a desperate trip to rescue the son of her business partner Jenks. It’s fun at first, even with dealing with a human-sized Jenks (you cannot believe how much trouble a 6-foot pixy can cause, especially when he looks like a supermodel...), but the road trip quickly turns dangerous when confronting an old love becomes a fight for survival.

For seeing Nick Sparagmos again is the least of Rachel’s problems--the ancient, mystical statue he has stolen holds the key to sinister, wild magic that can change humans into Weres. And for the first time in milennia, the Were packs are banding together to overthrow human and Inderlander alike. The fight that follows will shake Rachel’s very soul...and she will never be the same.

"WOWsers. I am fatigued. I feel like I've read 3 novels rolled into one. Lots of relationship issues Rachel & Ivy, Rachel & Jenks, Rachel & Nick, Rachel & Kisten, ivy & Kisten. Even with the increased complications deeper friendships evolved. I would have liked more Rachel & Kisten time. There is a pretty steamy & sweet scene between Ivy & Rachel. Black & White becomes gray. Tons of action trying to keep a super were pack from forming & playing keep away with a were cult idol with the ability to bring about an Inderlander War."

" Just a brief note this is as you know book four in The Hollows series. I am reading these up to book number six for the second time. Since I did not review the other books being new here I will not this one other than to say I recommend the first six books in this series. "

" I didn't love this one, but I am still excited to read the next in the series. I enjoyed Jenks, I just got so annoyed with some of Rachel's whining. "

" Another enjoyable installment in the Rachel Morgan series. Super-sized Jenks was a crack-up. He remains one of my all-time favorite characters ever. My disappointment in this book is that David is not more a part of it. I thought since it was very Were-based that he would be involved. I also missed Trent in this one. Odd, I know, but true. "

" I really enjoy this series. I love that Rachel can't seem to stay out of trouble no matter how hard she tries and the crazy group of friends she surrounds herself with. I can't wait to grab the next one just to see what happens next. "

" Ms Harrison is starting to find her stride now. Her world is developing nicely, there is good plotting and reasonable characterisation. Jenks' eldest son Jax has been recruited to help steal something by Nick. And its gone wrong . Rachel and Jenks ride to the rescue "

" This one was a little slow in places, had lots of typos, and too much profanity. It was nice she skipped the sex scene in this one, but the constant swearing and blasphemy was distracting. Also, the ending left me sad and unsatisfied. :( "

" The jagged writing and poor editing have finally worn me down in this installment. I need a break from it. Unfortunately, I continue to be intrigued by the unusual world and characters created by this author, so I know I'll be returning to it someday. "

" I was bored through most of this book...maybe it had to do with the Trent being a no-show and Kisten's appearances being limited. Not much romance or intimacy...and a lot of the scenes and conversations just seemed to drag on and on and on. "
