“It isn’t easy to write a protagonist that blends the best qualities of Anita Blake and Stephanie Plum, but Kim Harrison carries it off with style. This is a fun book! Read it!”
— Jim Butcher, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author

"When I first started this book I couldn't get into it. Usually, if I'm really into a book, I'll finish it in a day or two. It took my almost 2 weeks to read this. Once I actually got into it though, about half way through, I really liked the characters and couldn't put it down. The copy I have is a 2 in one with the first and second in one edition so I read straight through the 2nd one and then read the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Now I just need to finish the series!"

“You’ll love this bounty-hunter team…Dead Witch Walking is a fun-fair ride through a fascinating version of our world.”
— Charlaine Harris, #1 New York Times bestselling author" This is a major guilty pleasure! I actually didn't like the first book (this one) so much but gave it another chance with the second because the series was recommended. They get better and I was totally sucked in. If you're a fan of cheesy fantasy books, you'll love it. "
— Kyra, 2/9/2014" The very first book that started my obsession for reading fantasy, if not for Kim Harrison and her amazing series The Hollows I would probably even today remain oblivious to the wonders of reading. So I will forever treasure this book and be grateful to the author who created it. "
— Victoria, 2/7/2014" Though I'm normally more a fan of mysteries than fantasy books, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Kim Harrison has the storytelling ability to make the world drop away while you're reading her books. I loved Jenks' character the most, and I found the strange connection between Ivy and Rachel intriguing. I appreciated that while the book did have closure, there were several loose ends left open for the next book in the series. "
— Anne, 2/2/2014" it is comedic which was a surprise-listening on CD and the reader is very good - story and writing is simplistic and entertaining but not sure if I could have gotten through reading it and not listening to it "
— Lynne, 1/25/2014" It was good. I like Rachel and Ivy. Plenty of action. "
— Temple, 1/20/2014" I did like it. I was a good read . I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next one. "
— Rachel, 1/19/2014" Re-reading the series, as I just got the tenth book and have to catch myself up. "
— Maggie, 1/6/2014" a bit confusing with what's happening in the story. "
— Kristel, 12/21/2013" In an alternate universe a virus exposes the different species among us. Vampires, faeries, werewolves, pixies not to mention witches. The wide range of characters, mystery and strange plot twists have kept me reading this series. We'll see how long the interest lasts. "
— Jerri, 12/15/2013" Really did not like this but going to read the second book just to be sure "
— Brandy, 11/29/2013" not as good as I hoped, but ok. "
