" It's really not fair for me to write a review since I am so biased. I read these books many years ago and recently found them again- it's a nostalgic feeling to hear the book. I love the Jayne Krentz, she writes the suspense and romance so well. "

" You the reader walk into the middle of a scene at the very beginning of this book, it simply takes you from there! Very good read for those who like light hearted romance with their mystery and suspense. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Deanna | 1/25/2014

" Delightful romance novel. The characters were sympathetic and smart. A story of opposites attrach, or were they opposites? Stark is not the usuall tall romance hero. A nerd by any other name is still a nerd, but a sexy nerd. A fun read. Worth the effort. Naming his computer program Arcane was a great touch. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Diane ~Firefly~ | 1/25/2014

" Great characters and story. Total comfort read. The family of stage actors have some great scenes. Love Stark with his brothers. The parents either suck or out of pocket most of the book (as is pretty standard in a JAK book). "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Judith | 1/19/2014

" I enjoyed the story. I appreciated Stark being a brainy (nerdy)person with a "great bod", wanting more out of life but not knowing how to go about it. He was great- he just needed someone to care and show him how to love and stop being so analytical about everything. The opening sign was great. Stark was left standing at the alter for the 2nd time. Desdemona is the caterer and is having to console him while she tries to get him to pay the bill. Cute scene. Desdemona was a sweetie. I did get tired of her comparing everything to the Wainwright family. That got pretty "corny" after a while. I enjoyed reading it, though I won't want to read it again. But it was fun. "

" A bit of fluff, but enjoyable enough. A little romance, a little intrigue. The characters were not very likeable or believable, and the plot was a bit on th weak side. Certainly not one of Krentz's better novels, but good enough for middle-of-the-night reading. "

" One of my favorites off the keeper shelf. The characters are fun, it's a typical JAK "She brings his dysfunctional family together" story, but it's told with a lot of verve. I think MacBeth is my favorite character, and I wish I could have hired him to babysit my boys. "
