But they are both unprepared for the dizzying passion sparked by their partnership. Amanda Quick's light, breezy style captures the sophisticated nuances of the 19th century British social world that surrounds these two unconventional allies. Filled with spirited dialogue delivered by the incomparable talent of narrator Barbara Rosenblat, Mischief is a thoroughly delightful adventure.

"A solid 4. This book was hilarious. I've read many of Jayne Castle but not Jayne Ann Kratz or Amanda Quick before. I really liked it. It was not your typically historical but was written in such an unconventional way. I loved both H/H. I love the suspended plot. I really enjoyed it."

" I loved it......It was too funny! "
— Andrea, 2/3/2014" My least favorite Amanda Quicks are the ones that refer to Zamar and Vanza. This one is Zamar. I have learned over many readings, however, to ignore the references to Zamar and enjoy the rest of the story. Imogen is a bit Amazonian for my taste in that she always takes the lead, whether in a waltz or in her search for vengeance, but otherwise, she and Colchester are fun to follow through their adventures together. "
— Maria, 2/1/2014" The premise starts off kinda silly, but I so love the character Imogen -- she is such a hoot! -- that the story turns out a pleasure to read. The housekeeper is pretty precious, too. "
— Elisa, 1/30/2014" Laugh outloud funny, repeatedly. Really enjoyed it. "
— Barbara, 1/19/2014" I LOVE Amanda Quick books!! "
— Lesley, 1/15/2014" I said I wasn't going to read another Amanda Quick for a while and look what happened! It was fun though, they are always fun. "
— Carrie, 1/15/2014" This was the first romance novel I ever read - it was given to me in the hospital by my mother. It's lead me to love historical romance novels. Amanda Quick is amazing. "
— Laurie, 1/8/2014" Fun, light, fluffy with a great hero, though the heroine and her clumsiness was a little much. "
— Abby, 12/27/2013" Good book, quirky main character, very entertaining. "
— Michele, 12/25/2013" Really liked this one, a great read. "
— Joan, 12/19/2013" Oh my gosh! I love every Amanda Quick novel. Probably one of the only romance novel writers I read any more. Such a quick, exciting, engrossing fun read. Always a great adventure "
— Vee, 12/19/2013" whether she writes as Amanda Quick, Jayne Ann Krentz or Jayne Castle, this author delivers great stories, snappy dialogue and engaging characters. "
— Michele, 11/29/2013" Hmmmm, let me see how many times I can repeat the word Zamar? Oh just about a million times according to Amanda Quick. Other than that I liked the characters and the story itself. "
— Jackie, 11/17/2013" This book is true to its title - Mischief. Imogen seems to have a plan which is really poorly constructed. I'm not surprised with things go wrong. Still, it's a HEA since it is a romance by Ms. Quick. "
— ♆, 9/9/2013" Entertaining yes, but seriously... Quick has written better. I think this might be my least favorite of her books so far. "
— Jane, 7/28/2013" Amanda Quick could write ingredients of breakfast cereal and I'd enjoy it. Is this the great american novel? Absolutely not but if you enjoy an excellent historical mystery with a health dash of romance, give an AQ novel a try. "
— Sue, 5/19/2013" I always enjoy Amanda Quick, they are comfort reads for me. "
— Gamatst, 3/19/2013" I listened to this on CD, and loved the querkiness of this novel. It determined me to read the rest of the amanda quick regency novels (I was already a convert to the Arcane Society books). "
— Jane, 1/5/2013" Couldn't put it down- it's hilarious and I'm sorry to see it end- "
— Jan, 8/13/2012" Nice light read. I read this while traveling. "
— Kim, 8/12/2012" good book that will keep you turning the pages until the very end. "
— Brianna, 5/30/2012" I guess I should not tell people I like romance novels. I don't read them all that often, but I do enjoy them every so often. I find that the ones by Amanda Quick are relatively well written. They are easy to pick up and put down on vacation. Mischief was pretty fun. "
