But starting over in the thriving metropolis of Cadence City isn't easy, especially when one of Elly's new friends disappears in the eerie catacombs beneath the streets. "After I read my friend, Cathy's review of another Jayne Ann Krentz book I remembered I had a few of the Jayne Castle Harmony series that I'd never read. I read this one - Harmony #1 last night. It was fun, lots of paranormal, a little romance and a great mystery. "

" Jayne Ann Krentz is a standard favorite for me. I can depend on her style of writing to entertain. "
— Jennifer, 2/20/2014" I may be outgrowing this as I never really got into it. I think it's too light for me. "
— Jeanne, 2/15/2014" Fun. I want some amber! "
— Madison, 1/23/2014" The Harmony stories continue from Jayne Castle, and this one is a great one! A young woman has to overcome her problems with her "ex" fiance, to defeat those who are trying to destroy them both. "
— Joene, 1/20/2014" *** "Ghost Hunter" is a khaki-leather clad psychic creator/ destroyer of dangerous green energy that emanates from the crystal below planet Harmony. Jayne Castle aka Krentz has a formula passionate romance in a fantasy alien world, humorously lightened with cuddly clawed dust-bunnies, mutant pets somewhat feline in their independent, clever yet protective natures. Couples of strong and unusual, therefore secret powers reluctantly team in solving mysteries and lust blazes fierly ever after. Brave Cooper can manipulate more potent green light, and snarky herbalist Elly senses plant qualities and their medicinal compatibilities with individual human wavelengths. I kept reading for Cooper. I do not like selfish manipulative Elly. She runs away because she thinks he should be more demonstrative, and only seems more independent because supportive neighbors enourage flamboyance. "
— Anne, 1/18/2014" I finished it but really not my cup of tea. I like the authors stories better under the Amanda Quick name. "
— Mical, 1/6/2014" It's about time the bad boy got some yum- yum! "
— Lizzie, 1/4/2014" Great read by one of my favorite authors. Have actually re-read a couple of times. Really enjoyed the sci-fi world that JAK has created when writing as Jayne Castle. "
— Alice, 1/4/2014" My favorite of the Ghost Hunger series. Great hero. Heroine is cute and funny. "
— Vanessa, 1/3/2014" Hated the narrator's choice of voices for some of the characters. It really detracted from the listening experience. "
— Jess, 12/24/2013" I like the series in that it take place in the future. Lots of food for the imagination. "
— Shirl, 12/20/2013" Love this book, read it 3 times. Wonder if there were more written .... "
— Jana, 12/3/2013" Well, I have to give Castle credit for one thing: she did come up with an original ridiculously-contrived-reason-for-characters-to-have-to-screw. "
— Miriam, 11/6/2013" I liked this book, but I didn't love it. The Sci Fi stuff was a bit too off for me. I liked the characters and parts of the story line were good. "
— Shelbia, 11/4/2013" This probably is my favorite of the Harmony books. I loved the scene of Cooper making salad! "
— Barbara, 10/29/2013" Not really my type of book. Didn't care for recycling of "Earth's" stories with character's names changed. (Peter Rabbit & Alice in Wonderland) Kind of boring but not the worst thing I've read. "
— Nikki, 1/13/2013" good. fun series futuristic paraworld. "
— Ruth, 11/27/2012" Pretty cute paranormal...I enjoyed it more than most of Jayne Ann Krentz's novels. "
— Chris, 11/20/2012" I love dust bunnies -- the Harmony ones, anyway. An enjoyable book bringing in mention of a couple of old friends from previous books in the series as well as adding new ones. A light, fun read. "
— Jenny, 8/29/2012" I loved the crazy world of harmony. The chemistry between Cooper and Elly was almost tangible. I love a good mystery and I love a good fantasy so the combination of the two just made it all the more better. Definately worth a read. "
— Celeste, 3/10/2012" Really romantic. I want a dust bunny! "
— Jaci, 1/23/2012" Love the Harmony world and dustbunnies are the most awesome pets! "
— Lyla, 1/9/2012" A great paranormal romance, unlike anything I've read before. "
— Sherry, 1/2/2012" This was the first book I read from this series. I didn't realize I was reading out of order. The author did a good job setting up a fantasy world. It read smoothely but it just wasn't my cup of tea. "
— J., 10/4/2011" This was pretty good, an interesting read for a lazy afternoon. Good use of characters, good description, a little titillating sex, not bad. "
— Art, 10/3/2011" Pretty good book in the series. Wish I was able to read them in order. "
— Cassandra, 8/11/2011" Again, Jayne delivers with a terrific paranormal romance with lots of adventure and fantastic characters. Harmony becomes a more intriguing world with each new story Jayne tells. "
— Roswita, 6/4/2011" Not so great. Part mystery, part romance and part science fiction or fantasy. Usually I enjoy the mix but not with this one. "
— Joann, 5/3/2011" This one was pretty different from the rest of the stuff I've been reading. In the beginning, I doubted I'd figure out the world, but it started to get easier as the book went on. I'm curious to see what will happen next. "
— Heather, 3/30/2011" Jayne Ann Krentz, writing as Jayne Castle, creates a future on another planet where people have psychic abilities. This backdrop makes a great setting for Emmett and Lydia's love story. This is my favorite romance set in Harmony that I have read so far. "
— Peyton, 6/23/2010" Great read by one of my favorite authors. Have actually re-read a couple of times. Really enjoyed the sci-fi world that JAK has created when writing as Jayne Castle. "
