"The narrator does an excellent job. She voices each character will a different vocal inflections-easy to listen to. Each book I noticed you could read without necessarily reading one before-they are they own story in each book. I enjoy that is is different from the tv show. Although I do admit while listening as imagine Eric as the handsome actor that played him. Good book to listen too while on a walk!"

“This is one terrific read.”
— Kliatt" Person reading books does such a wonderful job. The details of books are exciting. Enjoyed the differences from the TV sbow. Hope to listen to them all in series. "
— Cyrules, 6/18/2016" This is the second book in this Charlaine Harris series. It is exciting, alluring and VERY seductive! It keeps you on the edge of your seat as new "characters" are added into the mystery and intrigue. Sookie is starting to see there is more to the supernatural world than just Vampires, which can really get messy! "
— kelley , 6/16/2016" Yeah :D Rezension erfolgt eventuell. "
— Captaincow, 2/17/2014" Not a true review here, folks, but I definitely thought Book 2 was an improvement over Book 1. "
— Jeannie, 2/16/2014" Ahh, Eric! "
— Seneca, 2/13/2014" this wasn't as good as the first book in the series, but i hear the third one is better... "
— Monet, 2/12/2014" Always a lot of fun. I'm enjoying the series even though the sex grosses me out (he bites her and sucks some of her blood while climaxing - EW yuck!). But the rest of the story is interesting. "
— Amy, 2/1/2014" Breezed right through it. A vast improvement (in prose and storytelling) over Dead Until Dark. I still prefer Alan Ball's adaptation, but Charlaine Harris is a very skilled writer and I look forward to reading book 3. "
— Chris, 1/25/2014" Not much substance here: Poor writing and description. Most annoying feature: Everything is written in the heroine's perpective; no back story or additional character development. TV show is better. Read, but don't expect much. "
— Joseph, 1/24/2014" Poor Sookie. This is such a fun series! "
— Kristin, 1/13/2014" Love it! Hooked!! "

— Jenna, 12/30/2013" a wonderful character, but instead of amplifying, the sophomore novel shies away from the sexy moments of the first book "
— Gretchen, 12/27/2013" Love this series - a bit racy though. "
— Gina, 11/19/2013" Fun series. Haven't watched the TV show, but I hear the plot is somewhat different. Love the characters! "
