" This series really fell off the rails when it was adapted for a cable series True Blood. The TV version has all of the blood and sex but none of the charm and humor that made the first three or four books so delightful. Sadly, the later books became more like the TV series. Barely readable now. "

" I see what people mean when they talk about inconsistencies. It's like Harris forgets some details from previous work. A bit annoying. You would think the editors would spot those. But on the whole a good story to enjoy. "

" Oh this one is just so ridiculous. I can't even begin to rate it. Fairy portals? What is going on here Sookie? And why does Eric keep saying "lover"!?!?! Just hate it. I can't even read the passages when he talks. "

" I think I enjoyed this one the best of the series so far. It came together well and much of my complaints of the previous books aren't here. Lots happens and more importantly lots is revealed both personal to Sookie and about "supes" worlds. "

" This series is definitely different than the HBO series True Blood, but that's ok with me. I still love both. I think she'll end up with Bill eventually although you can't have a good love story without conflict. I like how Sookie is bringing the more human side out in Eric. Great creative series. "

" Snooze fest. The avalanche of characters and the painful descriptions of the wedding just came so ridiculous, and I had to skip many pages. I am not the biggest fan of Quinn -- so that could be my reluctance to this book. I just wish Sookie would go to Eric and stop fighting her feelings.
