Smash hits on the New York Times bestseller list, J. R. Ward’s erotic urban fantasies “have earned [her] an Anne Rice-style following, deservedly so” (Publishers Weekly). The fourth book in the series, Lover Revealed tells the story of ex-cop Butch O’Neal, the only human allowed into the Brotherhood’s inner circle.
Butch gained the Brotherhood’s trust after saving Wrath’s queen, but some still view him with suspicious eyes. And he feels like an outsider, especially in light of his guarded love for the beautiful and unattainable vampire Marissa. When Butch is captured by the Lessers, who break his spirit and leave him a broken man with a dark secret, the Brotherhood calls on Marissa to help. But even her intense love may not bring salvation.
Ward has crafted a vampire world that pulses with violence and unrestrained sexuality.

"I love the BDB series , but this one was hard for me to read. Yes it was very interesting but I just felt bad for Butch in the beginging. And I wanted to smack His and Marrisa's head together because they can't communicate. But I liked the ending, and the twist so that made up for the hard parts. "

— Earwig73, 7/19/2020" I had a very hard time dealing with Butch and V in this one. This book didn't have the heart-stopping romance (for me) that the first three did. There were too many hopeless and sad situations throughout this book. I found it kind of a drag to read but kept going because I just have to know what's going to happen next! "
— Monique, 2/13/2014" Not my favorite, since I never liked Butch. But still enjoyable. "

— Nanette, 1/13/2014" Wow! The more I read into this series the more I can't decide which book I love more. I really loved Butch's story. Can't wait till I start the next one. "
— Chrisabel, 1/12/2014" Not my favorite of the series so far and it took me a little while to get into. Still enjoyed the book. I think Z's story in book 3 was absolutely awesome so that was probably why this book was a little hard to get into! "
— May, 1/2/2014" If I could have given this book more stars I would have. Butch's story was by far my favorite. Not sure what Ms. Ward was on when she wrote this book but I LOVED it!! "
— Tracy, 12/20/2013" Not my favorite of the BDB books. The whole time I was reading it I kept thinking...what the heck is going on with Vishous? "
— Arden, 12/20/2013" Maria's and Butch's story. I have to say much as I love this pair, the chemistry between butch and V is a real page turner, can't wait for Vs story. And John too I'm dying to see him change. "
— Dawn, 12/15/2013" Lovely! And I love the end! Butch becoming a Brother, and the ritual was so touching! Nice job, J.R.Ward! ^0^ "
