"I listened to this in the car and it is wonderfully funny and you can't wait to find out what happens next! Snookie is a Louisiana blonde with more than one romantic encounter with a vampire and has a shapeshifter brother who changed after he was bitten. I see why people love the books about Snookie Stackhouse - she is hilarious and feisty and intent on having things her way, but they rarely go her way. Add a jealous first love, who just happens to be a vampire and her neighbor, and a once-a-Viking lead vampire whom she hid from some witches, along with a were-shifter who has designs on her and the story gets interesting. Someone, or something, is trying to kill Snookie and every male, human and non-human, trying to protect her has his hands full. Oh yeah - and Snookie can read minds, all but those of vampires - they are dead after all!"

About Johanna Parker
Johanna Parker is an Audie and Earphone Award–winning actress living and working in San Francisco. Since narrating her first audiobook in 2002, she has received praise for her work in all genres, including her portrayal of Sookie Stackhouse in Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire books. She received her BFA in acting from Boston University and studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She has performed on stages in London, Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York and has numerous film and television credits. As a voice-over actress, she has voiced commercials, video games, documentaries, and websites.
