Publisher Description

Inez Urso is beginning to have her doubts. Her business associate Thomas Argeneau has some interesting traits, like an allergic reaction to the sun, excellent night vision, and not much of an appetite for food. And to top it all off, he just tried to bite her neck . . . but maybe that was a sign of passion. If so, she'd be happy to experience more, despite her determination not to mix business with pleasure.

Well, if not forever, at least two hundred years. Inez is the most beautiful woman he's seen in centuries. Those luscious lips, seductive curves, and her elegant neck . . . he just couldn't resist the temptation of one little bite. Now Thomas will do anything to convince her that only an immortal like him can satisfy her all night long . . .

"I like that Inez knew about immortals before she knew she was Thomas's lifemate and was going to turn into an immortal. She still freaked out, but less so. In the others books, they could never smell the arousal. Why did it start in this one? I did not get the aunt martine thing. It was very confusing and it made no sense to me at all. I still don't even after rereading it. They got physical quicker than the others. And why don't they ever have normal, nice soft relationships. There always has to be kidnap and death threat."

Quotes

  • “Funny, witty…and did I mention sexy?”

    — Susan Sizemore, New York Times bestselling author
  • “Those who’ve been eagerly awaiting Thomas’ story will not be disappointed. Inez is a fine match for him, and the recurring characters and well-crafted continuation of the Argeneau’s story are excellent. A nicely done cliffhanger should lead smoothly into the next story.”

" I liked this book in parts, and disliked it in parts. I felt that one of the main plot lines wasn't really finished up to my liking (no real resolution). I liked the characters, but unlike the other books in this series, it felt really repetitive to me. By the middle, I'd lost interest, which is unusual with Lynsay Sands's books (for me, at least). "

" I enjoyed this book as I have previous Argeneau Series books. I am not generally a romance fan, but I do enjoy a good vampire read and these always are. They have to romance, but also she creates a good story around the romance as well and, it's about vampires, which is one of my favorite genres. "

" Boring with no real fun. I loved Tomas in all the other books and here he and his lifemate were just OK, then on top of that the back story had no backbone and wasn't answered in the end. Be ready to go on to the next book for answers... but truly, I didn't care why at the end. I did read on as I had the next book out and ready. The next is better. "

" Yay Argeneau books! I love this series so much. This installment was a great treat. Lots of action and 'holy crap what is going to happen next' feelings. I'm a little sad to see Thomas find his lifemate, hopefully he'll stay his fun old self. "

" It was okay. I don't know if it was my mood or my work schedule, but I just didn't really care about the Aunt Marguerite mystery or even about the main couple. It dragged, and they didn't even solve the mystery in the end, just pulled it into book #9! "
