The exquisite niece of Lord Edward and Lady Charlotte Malory, Regina Ashton is outraged over her abduction by the arrogant, devilishly handsome Nicholas Eden - and is determined to make the rogue pay…with his heart. A golden-haired seducer, Nicholas has been hardened by a painful secret in his past. And now that he has besmirched Reggie’s good name, the hot-tempered lady has vowed to wed him. Her fiery beauty stirs Nicholas as no woman ever has - and the rake arouses Reggie’s passion to an unendurable level. Such uncontrolled desires can lead only to dangerous misunderstandings…and, perhaps, to a love that can live only once in a lifetime.

"This is the first book in the "Malory Family Series" each on has it own unique characters and brings back the characters from the books that preseeded it. I love the malory's especially Tony from the second book and James from the third. I always hope that she will continue with this line of books because each on is like seeing old friend. She is now up to doing the children of the Original characters from the first five books. I highly recommend these books."

" I'm not sure how I have been unable to not read this one, but it was everything I expected it to be. "
— Chris, 2/19/2014" Good book 1st book in the Malory Series. "
— Ronda, 2/13/2014" penasaran "
— Valen, 1/31/2014" This was a good read. The main characters pull you into their country's historical time period. There is tension between the two main characters but also passion. The way Johanna Lindsey writes the story, it kindly has the feel of a Jane Austen novel. If you like Historical England type romance novels, I'm sure you will enjoy this one. This book is the first in the Malory/Anderson series. "
— Amber, 1/27/2014" Super Nice. :) "
— Tinstar, 1/22/2014" very touching... n very good reading for the sadness.. "
— Sysca, 1/15/2014" For historical romance fans, the Malory Family will capture your heart. You will remember their stories long after you finish the book. "
— Angela, 1/15/2014" I only gave this two stars because I finished it, kept thinking "Can she make it more unbelievable and stupid?" and yes she could. Otherwise I would have given it one. "
— Frances, 1/10/2014" Hey it is a romance and while it followed the typical historical romance recipe... it was still good! "
— Babs, 1/4/2014" This is the very first romance novel I ever read. I have been hooked on romance and reading ever since. (I was a Sophomore in high school) "
— Kasey, 12/16/2013" I remember reading this years ago and being spellbound. It seems that older me, who has read more romances by great authors, isn't as enthralled. It's still a fun tale, but Nicholas & Regina seem very shallow now and the story lacks the heart I've come to expect from my favorite writers. "
— Alice, 12/10/2013" Good series over all. I particularily like this book for the Malory clan. "
— Kaybooks, 12/10/2013" A good quick beach read - plenty of action and interesting characters. "
— Marissa, 11/22/2013" I'm enjoying getting to know the Malory Family but I wish the author had a better understanding of the difference between passion and immaturity. Male lead was just too difficult to like..and I did try! "
— Clueless, 9/11/2013" One of my first HR. I should read it again to see what I think about it now. "
— Nisha, 5/21/2013" Nicky menggemaskan, dan di buku ini ada debut James Malory a.k.a Captain Hawke cerita yang seru, Cinta, Rahasia dan rasa malu Xd "
— Sephanie, 12/15/2012" I loved all the Malory books. If you haven't read them it would be best if you read them in order. I didn't at first and it spoiled some of it for me. "
— Danny, 10/12/2012" A bit disappointed with this one. Not much happened and the hero and heroine kept dancing around each other, neither was willing to confront the issue head on. It got quite tedious and irritating after a while. "
— Melodie, 2/13/2012" Enjoyed the story...don't know what took me so long to start this series. I'm starting book #2 right now! "
— Dottie, 1/17/2012" Now: Three stars. Then(When I was too young to know better): Five stars. "
— Melody, 11/18/2011" I am a sucker for historical romances. This one wasn't my fav but I liked the secondary characters. Looking forward to reading their stories. "
— Amanda, 8/21/2011" This is one of my all time favorite romance series! "
— Launa, 6/14/2011" Loved this book through and through ! Johanna Lindsey is an artist at writing a romance. It's a book no one should miss if you love a blazing brew of a dashing rogue and a feisty - yet innocent - lass !! "
— Persiphone, 5/16/2011" I think it is best book from Mallory family series...i luv James mallory and Georgina anderson they are cute together.... "
— Laderdanishdevi, 5/14/2011" This book had be grinning like a loon. After an afternoon of reading, my face hurts! "
— Laura, 4/7/2011" I liked this book, although this is not the best amongst the Malory series. The plot should have been executed slower, and James should not reveal Georgie's disguise too soon. "
— Nurlely, 1/30/2011" Incredibly silly, great fun, some excellent smut scenes, and like most of the historical romance novels I've read, it goes on for a hundred pages too long. "
— AudryT, 1/29/2011" masa iya ada bajak laut seganteng James Malory a.k.a Kapten Hawke? Kalo iya, mau dong hati aya dibajak sama kapten Hawke ^^ "
— Irene, 1/26/2011" One of My ALL time FAVORITES! I read it again and again! "
— Christy, 1/23/2011" James Malory IS the poster boy for all romance written in the past 20 years. "
