Publisher Description

In Melbourne's urban underworld, there's a nightclub for every fantasy and desire. But for Riley Jenson, one such club has become an obsession. Riley, a rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, hasn't come in pursuit of pleasure but of an unknown killer who's been using the steamy nightspot as his hunting grounds.

Leave it to Riley to find the only ticket into the heavily guarded club: Jin, a deliciously hot-bodied bartender who might just provide the key to unmasking a killer unlike any other in the Directorate's experience. Taunted by a former colleague turned rogue, distracted by an ex-lover's attentions, Riley follows Jin into a realm of pleasure she could never have imagined. And as danger and passion ignite, a shocking mystery begins to unravel—one where Riley herself becomes the ultimate object of desire.

"I was pleasantly surprised with the plot of this book. I absolutely love Gautier and I'm glad he had a part in this one, though I would have liked to see more of him. The demon summoning and god of darkness elements of the plot were interesting, the Riley's emotional vampire lover was entertaining. I really enjoy this series. Something about it just gets to me. So far I'm enjoying it more than Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs, Charlaine Harris, Karen Chance, and all of the other popular ones out there. Riley is a strong character that has her weaknesses and will admit to them upfront. I have to say that some of her convictions get a bit irritating when repeated over and over again, and she does admit to being hypocritical and times. The only downfall to this book was that there wasn't much of a plot cliffhanger. The people in charge of the labs are dead, some other people are dead (won't mention who due to spoilers), what is left other than relationship drama between Kellen, Riley, and Quinn? I really really hope it doesn't come down to that. I love the action and the paranormal elements at play here, and I would hate to lose them. At the moment though I'm happy to have read this and can't wait for the next one."

" This book was definitely entertaining with the demons, emotional vamps, and Jin. However, I've come to really like Quinn, but now I'm not so sure anymore. Riley was right to dump him. "

" This one took a little bit to get into. But once the story started to unveil itself I couldn't stop. I really loved getting to know more of Quinn's back story seeing as the man never reveals an iota of what his extremely long life has been like. I'm also kind of glad that Riley officially broke it off with him because that whole vamp wiles thing he did was way out of line. I also find that I like Rhoan even more than I did originally he really is a great brother and I always look forward to the scenes with him in them. "

" I want to first start by saying that I love this author and I love how she writes. I know I will enjoy the rest of the Riley Jenson series. However, this one was really hard for me to read. It took me forever to actually finish it. I kept picking up other books just to have an excuse. I guess I just didn't have the stomach for the way the dragons treated the women. "

" It took me a while to read this one. I didn't get into it at first as I normally do, but I was very distracted with my new manga and anime obsession, sot that had a lot to do with it. Once I got about halfway in everything really picked up intensity and I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed this one. It was very suspensful and creepy! If this book were a movie it would be very Silence of the Lambs I think. The character Jin was scary and I don't think I could have gotten close to him like Riley had to, she is one tough cookie. I am in love with Quinn in this series, I think it is because there is still so much about him that we don't know, but what we do know is dangerous, sexy, sweet and just down right delicious. I just know that Riley and Quinn will find a way to be with each other without hurting one another one day, there is just too much soul deep chemistry between them to throw away, but I have a feeling it's going to be a long painful journey as it always is for characters that are meant to be together, but won't give in until they have to! I love this series. "

" I learned that just sitting, reading, can be exhausted. In the middle of a chapter with a big fight scene, I had to take a nap. All that kick boxing is exhausting. I'm not as young as I used to be! "

" I really like this series, but this one was a little over the top for me. The torture/sex scenes were really graphic, so I ended up skimming them a lot. And the finger thing nearly made me puke. Not quite what I was expecting. I'm hoping the next one won't be quite so violent in the sex scenes "
