Publisher Description

Mercy Reynolds is a reporter in the San Francisco Bay area, but she's also more—and less—than human. Half woman, half air dragon, she's a "draman"—unable to shift shape but still able to unleash fiery energy. Now something will put her powers to the test.

Mercy's friend Rainey has enlisted her help to solve her sister's murder. Then a horrible accident claims Rainey's life, leaving Mercy only five days to find the killer: If Mercy fails, according to dragon law, Rainey's soul will be doomed to roam the earth for eternity. But how can Mercy help when she herself is a target? With nowhere else to turn, she must join forces with a sexy stranger—the mysterious man they call "Muerte," or death itself, who's as irresistible as he is treacherous. But can even Death keep Mercy alive for long enough to find her answers?

"This was the 2nd book in the series but it was a bit of a stand alone in that you don't have to have knowlege of the first book to understand fully the second book. She is a Water Dragon and being pursued by an old enemy. She is trying to solve the mystery of who killed her friend and has help from a 'sexy' contract killing Water Dragon."

" Enjoyed it. Although this was the first book I had read of the series, it was easy to pick up the general feel for this urban fantasy. The conclusion was satisfying, and I look forward to going back and discovering the beginning. "

" I really enjoyed the 2nd book in Keri Arthur's newest series of Dragon shifters. A murder to solve brings Mercy into danger as well as onto the arms of Death! Great page turner! "

" Still not getting into these books as much as her Riley series. Too much of the same thing and not enough of a plot line. More details needed. almost seemed like there were parts missing. Alas, I'm a fan and will read the series! "

" I enjoyed meeting Trae's little sister, Mercy Reynolds. She's a reporter investigating the disappearance of her best friends sister and when her best friend is murdered, she's immediately on the hunt. It becomes really interesting when she meets Muerte (Death), a dragon assassin. I loved this installment and can't wait for the next. "

" This was not quite as enjoyable as the first. Damon's prejudice and Mercy's nagging really grind the nerves. I sort of wish the plot hadn't been quite so ambitious. But it was still a smooth read. "
