In a world of sorcery and seduction, the nights bring out the beautiful, the damned, and the desired. Here, Riley Jenson is on her own—half werewolf, half vampire, working for an organization created to police the supernatural races. Trusting her superiors and lovers barely more than she trusts her worst enemies, Riley plays by her own set of rules. Her latest mission: to enter the heavily guarded pleasure palace of a criminal named Deshon Starr—a madman-scientist who's been messing around in the gene pool for decades.

With two sexy men—a cool, seductive vampire and an irresistibly hot wolf—vying for her attention, Riley must keep focused. Because saving the world from Deshon Starr will mean saving herself—from the trap that's closing in around her. Download and start listening now!

" Riley goes undercover again. After the death of Misha, the Directorate finally has a lead as to whose messing around with creations of monsters & half-breeds from labs. Took a day, actually not long to finish reading, because of all the suspense. But honestly, compared to the first two in this series, this third book wasn't one of the best. But I'll see what happens in the next book & keep reading. "

" Riley Jenson is part werewolf and part vampire that works for the Directorate governing supernatural world. Riley's boss Jack Hunter wants her to be Guardian something Riley really doesn't want to do but doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Thanks to Deshon Starr for Riley taking Guardian training over the past six months. Rhoan, is Riley's packmate and twin brother, who is doing most of Riley's offensive and defensive training before she takes on Gauntier in a fight. Riley doesn't want to fight Gauntier at all, who happens to be the best Guardian the Directorate has, yet she has no choice either. In order to take down Deshon Starr, she must face Gauntier, something she dreads. Riley must become a fighter if she's to have a chance at taking down Starr and his labs too. Riley meets Dia Jones, a famous psychic, known for her accurate predictions this meeting leaves Riley on edge. Dia Jones has a few secrets of her own that puzzle Riley under her false identity as Poppy Burns. Poppy Burns is a half werewolf and half human which happens to be a thief. Poppy/Riley gains access to Starr's home as a fighter instead of a prostitue that Jack had planned for this mission. What Poppy/Riley don't need is a certain vampire named Quinn bent on revenge mucking up this mission even before it begins. Quinn only knows control in a relationship yet doesn't understand Riley's werewolf nature or culture but then again he doesn't even try. Whereas Kellan, a werewolf, and Kade, a horseshifter, understand Riley's nature and culture allowing her to be herself all the time unlike Quinn. Can Riley complete the mission? What is Dia Jones hiding? Will Quinn hinder Riley's mission? Will Deshon Starr be stopped? What about Gauntier? Will Riley resolve her differences with Quinn? Your answers await you in Tempting Evil. " Once again, I'm finding myself more enamored with the series as I continue. The plot seems to almost conclude with this book, but then you realize there's still a thread loose to continue onto the next book. I love how fluidly these books go together. Because of that and their release dates (within a month of each other), I'm beginning to wonder if Arthur didn't just write one long novel and then broke it down. Either way, I'm really enjoying these books and am already getting into the fourth book. "

" Although it was an entertaining story, I was not as excited about the book as I was the first two. The story was a little anti-climatic but the relationship between Riely and Quinn keeps me wanting more. I am looking forward to seeing how they end up. "

" The writing could get a bit choppy, I found myself forgetting who was who and confusion in why Riley did some of the things she did. Or perhaps that happened because my interesting is diminishing in this series. I am pleased to say, however, this is the kind of series I can read one right after the other; which I intend to do as I do have a spark of curiosity left for the genetic engineering sub plot. "
