When Destiny McCree wakes up beside a dead man on an Oregon beach, she knows only this: she has to keep moving, keep searching, and keep one step ahead of the forces that have been pursuing her from the heart of Scotland to this isolated spot. Why? The death of her lover has left her alone, with little memory of her past. A glimmering serpent-shaped ring is the one clue she has—and a bargaining chip in a most dangerous game. Enter Trae Wilson, a master thief with a sexy, knowing grin and a secret agenda of his own. Destiny and Trae both have powers far beyond the human—and both are running for their lives. Together they're riding a tide of danger, magic, and lust…but with killers stalking their every move, they must use any means necessary, even each other, to survive—until the shocking secret of one woman's destiny finally unravels.

"I think I'm really going to like this series. I am wondering where she is going to go from here, though. Is she going to move on to a different set of people, like Feehan's Dark series? It seemed to move along well most of the time, but lagged a little in small sections. I couldn't put it down! I love dragons and the sea dragons are a nice touch here."

" I love the paranormal aspects of this story - truly unique -- but the pacing was a little slow and I'm getting really tired of first person point of view stories. "
— Laurin, 2/20/2014" Great blend of fantasy with a touch of adventure and romance... "
— Saisha, 2/12/2014" I found this book to be a lot slower and the characters not as interesting as in Arthur's Riley Jensen series. The sex was not as often or explicit, and the storyline and characters didn't make up for it, IMO. "
— Jean, 2/7/2014" Hmm... this was a good story..but long winded and REPETITIVE. 3.0 "
— Sarita, 2/5/2014" Loved this book. Can not wait to read more of her books. It was great that the female sea dragon had powers of her own. "
— Jennifer, 1/23/2014" It was a good book, definitely worth reading; however, I am partial to the Guardian series...to me it doesn't add up. "
— Virgie, 1/16/2014" This is a ridiculous book. The concept is sooo stupid and it is just poorly written. I kept with it because it was jokingly stupid. Do not read this book unless you are in the mood for something ridiculous. "
— Amanda, 1/15/2014" Dragons! Enough said. Kari Arthur is always good for a fun , steamy and quick read. "
— Lynn, 12/28/2013" Entertaining, quick read. Good enough that I would pick up another in the series - not good enough to say to my friends "You have to read this book"! "
— Marfa, 12/27/2013" It was good, up until the last 40 or so pages. Then it was just boring romantic conclusion and I only skim read it. I have the next book already but I think that focusses on new characters so it should be interetsing to see what happens. "
— Helen, 12/26/2013" this book was JUST ok. NOTHING like the Riley Jensen series which I would tag on amazon to alert me when they were available. The flow just seemed off & the sexual tension I expected was just blah... "
— Carla, 11/21/2013" Nice tale but the story line didn't emotionally involve me in the characters plight. I liked it but didn't love it, it fell short of something that pulls you in and keeps you enraptured. "
— Beth, 11/17/2013" Very different than the Riley Jenson series.... really even better than the Riley Jenson series, which I loved! "
— Danielle, 4/16/2013" Just delivered can't wait to read "
— Ac, 10/12/2012" I definitely like Keri Arthur's Riley Jensen series better. I never quite got absorbed in this book. "
— Kona, 10/8/2012" Solid paranormal romance. Nice weekend read. Different than vamps. Dragons this time! "
— Becky, 9/25/2012" This book felt rushed to me. I wanted more back story to the characters. "
— Nichole, 6/12/2012" this is the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed it. She put a cool twist to dragon's. I can't wait to read other book's by her "
— Devon, 9/1/2011" Dragons! Enough said. Kari Arthur is always good for a fun , steamy and quick read. "
— Lynn, 4/29/2011" Good but a little harder to get into than her Guardian series. I'm close to done with this one and I'm hoping it will take a turn for the better. "
— Angel2626, 1/14/2011" I was kind of let down with this one, but I remain a fan of Arthur's! "
— Brandi, 1/7/2011" It was as I expected. Same old story with the same ending. But that's why I read it. :) "
— Josephine, 11/18/2010" One thing I really liked about Destiny and Trae is they aren't weak but aren't overbearing either. Just strong, steady, caring personalities. I really liked them.

Got to read more Keri! "
— Zaanodes, 11/9/2010" This is a ridiculous book. The concept is sooo stupid and it is just poorly written. I kept with it because it was jokingly stupid. Do not read this book unless you are in the mood for something ridiculous. "
— Amanda, 9/19/2010" Great book! I can't wait for the next one! "
— Angie, 9/6/2010" One of the best books ever I loved it period. I like how she puts everyone above herself that a true heroine is all about keri pleaseeeeee keep on the series with trea and destiny in them it just wouldn't be the same without them lolz "
