Redemption isn’t a word Jim Heron knows much about — his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. And failure is not an option. Vin diPietro has surrendered himself to his business—until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior, and a woman who makes him question his destiny. With an ancient evil ready to claim him, Vin has to work with a fallen angel not only to win his beloved over…but to redeem his very soul.

"I love this author and the only thing preventing me from giving this book five stars was the clunky opening. It took me till page 60 to get into the story, but then I was totally hoooked. I'd be worried an author that has never read her would struggle with that and give up. That being said, this was one of the first novels and especially a paranormal romance if you want to call it that, where I couldn't predict the ending. And that I just loved. A great read, excellend villains, questionable good guys, and of course, some hot sex. An enjoyable read and a unique take on the fallen angels genre."

" This book has managed to turn the classical view of angels and the Devil himself upside down. With a vain devil and angels of the biker variety, you'll get tossed into the battle of good and evil, while the tea drinking British Arch angles watches. You'll have a lot of fun and you'll learn to love the characters and the witty way of writing that characterises J.R. Ward's books and you won't put it down until you've read the entire series. "
— Laura, 1/16/2017" This book was definitely a good read...It started out slow for me but once it picked up, it had you on edge anticipating what would come next... "
— Viah, 2/16/2014" It took me a few chapters to get into the story (I was still in BDB mode) but once I did I really liked it....I already started FA 2!! :-) "
— Melanie, 2/9/2014" Read this book in two days - while it wasn't Black Dagger Brotherhood - I still believe it was a good read. Starting Crave today - so at least it has my interest to move forward with the series. "
— Erin, 2/4/2014" As a true fan of the BDB, I just had to read this book, and I gotta say it was good. Not as good as BDB, but a good substitute while the next BDB book come out lol "
— Lily, 1/16/2014" I absolutely love Vin and Gretchen. I was a little skeptical about these book, mostly because I prefer Vamps to any other supernatural creatures and I was wondering how all these creatures was going to work out in Caldwell, NY. Needless to say, I want to move to Caldwell! "
— Starr416, 1/4/2014" I was so unsure about this book I'm a bdb fan to the core. I loved this book. I was so glad some open ended things from that series got answered in this one. Altogether read this book it is a little ruff at first but Jim keeps your heart in it. "
— Monica, 1/2/2014" Not my favorite. Not quite sure why I can't get into this author but no matter how hard I try, I just can't do it. "
— Kellsa, 1/1/2014" good start to a new series. As a HUGE fan of Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, I liked the bit of overlapping on this book -- takes place in Caldwell NY, Iron Mask nightclub featured. Even a Brother sighting - Phury -- early in the book. I like the redemption theme and I do like the Jim Heron character. The sex scenes were not as hot as the BDB books, but still pretty steamy nonethless. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series - Crave. "
— Susan, 12/22/2013" This book was okay. I was expecting more after reading the BDB. I am hoping that the second book is better. "
— Shasta, 12/17/2013" Very hard to get into for a J.R. Ward book "
— Minda, 12/6/2013" Love the Black Dagger books and thought I would enjoy this but didn't at all. "
— Tigmode, 12/2/2013" Good read. Too me a little to get into. Not as good as BDB but will be reading the others. "
— Emily, 11/10/2013" Covet keeps you reading for more!!! "
— Grace, 10/11/2013" I love Ward's imagination. I don't think I like this series as much as the Black Dagger Bortherhood, but I will be reading the rest. "
— Elizabeth, 9/11/2013" Not as good as the Black Dagger books by Ward. "
— Katie, 7/10/2013" Not sure why I just couldn't get into this book. I stopped reading it, I might go back and finish. "
— Charlotte, 1/27/2013" It took til halfway through the book to really capture me. That's a long time. After that it was great. "
— Tamie, 12/26/2012" Blecch! The author's writing has gone downhill and I could barely finish it. "
— Zina, 11/1/2012" I didn't like this book. I'm done with books by JR Ward. "
— Christa, 9/11/2012" Jim is awesome! Love Dog! "
— Connie, 9/6/2012" I gave up in the middle. I must admit I didn't care for the characters... I liked Vincent the first few pages and then he became a boring "softie" ... and the other characters... *shrugs* I just wasn't interested in what was going to happen... "
— Katharina, 5/10/2012" Pretty good, definitely a quick read and Ward really knows how to get readers attached to the characters. "
— Beth, 12/11/2011" 3-1/2*** great read! One of the more explicit scenes was too long and I thought it detracted from and was irrelevant to the story line. Lose that and it'd rate more of a solid 4. But still a great read once I skipped through that. "
— Monica, 6/12/2011" Not my style of writing at all - in fact, I'd say it's very poorly written. And very graphic sex. The basic idea of the book kept me curious enough to finish it, however. "
— Madeleine, 5/23/2011" Liked Jim, Eddie, and Adrian, but not enough for it to save the book for me. "
— Arlene, 5/17/2011" Love these books! Not as awesome as Black Dagger series but WELL worth the read! "
— Vicki, 5/17/2011" Not as good as her vamp series "
— Beckey, 5/15/2011" I really liked the subtle crossover elements from the BDB series. Vin actually reminded me of a Butch/Rhevenge hybrid. The supernatural elements were different and interesting. I especially loved Nigel! "
— Heather, 5/14/2011" Great start to the series. Ward is excellent a world building. "
— Pamela, 5/6/2011" Pure entertainment. This book is for those who like escapist fantasy, and don't mind some um, graphic," uh- hum," and angels and demons of another sort....this is not great literature by any means, but for most it's not what you're looking fo for a good zone out. Have fun :) "
— Katie, 5/3/2011" My first read by this author. Story is ok but not great, will probably read another to see if it gets better. "
— BJ, 4/28/2011" I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. If your expecting it to be BDB then don't read it cuz it's not. However it holds it's own and I really look forward to the others in this series. "
— Samantha, 4/25/2011" My first book by Ward and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I can't wait to read the next in the series! I do hope to see Vin and Gretchen make an appearance in later books. Especially Vin. Though I suppose it's unlikely. "
