"Absolutely loved, even at many points in the book it was heartbreaking. The turn of events was completely unexpected. I do feel there were some gaps that were left unexplained, however this may have been done on purpose. I'm glad Eve finally got some closure in regards to the death of her daughter."

" Very disappointed in the ending. Too easy of a cop out that Bonnie is Actually dead. Plus how does a seven year old have instincts to trust a man she doesn't know and just hop in his trunk? Overall the series was good but i honestly expected more "
— Kia, 2/16/2014" Honestly, I feel like the book could have been written with more details. The ending when she explains that Ted Danner hid Bonnie in the trunk of his car, so that he could protect her from Paul Black, but when he opens the trunk, he finds that Bonnie has died, due to the heat in the trunk. That seemed a little strange to me. I mean it was a hot day, but it have been better for Ted to either A: return Bonnie back to Eve or B: he could have hid her under a blanket in the front seat. If he had done B, at least Bonnie would still have been alive. Here is the thing though, I think he acted on impulse, and did not think it though before he did it. Because, if he had thought it over, there probably would have been a different outcome of the story, and the story of Bonnie would have ended at the first book Eve. "
— Sasha, 2/1/2014" I have loved the Eve Duncan books...until these last 3...I feel Iris Johansen herself got tired of the story line. "
— Kiti, 1/31/2014" It was about time the mystery of Bonnie was put to rest. It was kind of anti-climatic in the end. "
— Fran, 1/29/2014" Awesome conclusion to a GREAT story!!! Loved it!!!! "

— Debbie, 11/10/2013" I liked the book, but I think she could have done the trilogy in one book. A bit repetitive. I gave it 4 stars because I like the author. "

— Jenn, 6/25/2013" Honestly, I am kind of glad this story is done. And ... whatever. Yay. It's over "
— Rori, 5/1/2013" Finally, the story of who killed Bonnie is told. It took quite a few books with a lot of red herrings but all in all I think it was a satisfactory ending. And, according to the author, this is not the last of books with Eve, Joe, Jane and the others; she will be back. "
— Beth, 11/11/2012" THIS BOOK PUTS IT ALLLL TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! "
— Susan, 9/28/2012" Johansen did an amazing job wrapping up this story. I hope this is not the last we see of Eve Duncan. "

— Joycelawler15, 1/19/2012" Not sure this is the ending I would have chosen for the series. "
— Connie, 1/7/2012" I have been waiting for YEARS to find out what happened to Bonnie. Wasn't super crazy about how it all turned out, but I think at this point, anything and everything would have been anti-climactic, since Bonnie's death has been built up for so long. I did love the book, though. "
— Elle, 11/8/2011" Johansen did an amazing job wrapping up this story. I hope this is not the last we see of Eve Duncan. "
— Julia, 11/7/2011" Finally we find out what happened to Bonnie! "
— Gail, 11/5/2011" After years of reading the series I was a bit let down. I felt the Johansen went overboard in trying not to get her fans angry. I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone, but to me, after years of angst it was just too simplistic (if the death of a child can be that). "
— Dorothy, 11/2/2011" Finally we learn what happened to Bonnie--Iris Johansen has kept fans guessing who could have taken Bonnie all those years before. A fitting fianle to a great series. "
— Anne, 11/2/2011" My goodness not sure exactly what I thought of some aspects of this book but I am so glad it ended on a somewhat positive note. She has definatly left the door open for more though.I wonder how the dynamics will be without Bonnie's death lurking there. "
— Lauriecz, 11/1/2011" A much-anticipated conclusion to the Eve Duncan series. Everything was wrapped up nicely in the end, answering all the questions that had been raised through previous books. "
— Tonya, 10/30/2011" I really liked this series and I wasn't sure what would happen and who was the "bad" guy until the end. Love it. "
— Tammy, 10/30/2011" I had to do it, it's my name. I think I may regret it, but here goes... "
— Bonnie, 10/30/2011" What a great ending to Eve's story! "
— Deborah, 10/28/2011" I did not like this book. It was the same ole rambling mess over and over until finally got to the end. It was highly rated, but I was terribly disappointed. Yuk, don't waste your time on this book. "
— Jaye, 10/28/2011" A great wrap up to the Bonnie story, although it left me wanting just a bit more and seemed like a few storylines had a bit more to say. I suspect that's a good thing, because it means we haven't seen the last of all these characters! "
