Publisher Description

Bailey Wingate’s scheming adult stepchildren are surprised when their father’s will leaves Bailey in control of their fortune, and war ensues. A year later, while flying from Seattle to Denver in a small plane, Bailey nearly dies herself when the engine sputters—and then fails.

Cam Justice, her sexy Texan pilot, manages to crash-land the aircraft. Stranded in the wilderness, and struggling to douse her feelings for the ruggedly handsome man by her side, Bailey begins to wonder whether this was a mere accident. Sure enough, upon her return to civilization, Bailey’s suspicions mount: Who tampered with their plane? Who’s trying to reunite Bailey and her husband in the afterlife? Trusting her life—and heart—to Cam, Bailey must outwit a killer who will stop at nothing to finish the job.

"One of my favorite tropes. Survival in the wilderness. Here the actions of the heroine to save them are detailed and what's more they make sense. The emotion and relationship that builds between the two characters seems realistic and believable. Totally enjoy this and highly recommend it."

" I cannot stop thinking about this book. It was amazing, very surprising plot twist, the descriptions and realistic events and relationship progression really made this book above 5 star. "

" I really enjoyed this book. There was just enough romantic suspense in there to keep a girl happy, and just enough mystery to keep you guessing until the end. I always figure out who the bad guys are but this I totally did not see coming. Great book!! "

" I felt relatively lied to by the description...but ultimately it was a decent read. Totally different than expected, but the reader of romance novels will enjoy it. It was nice to see a strong woman for a chance, instead of a simpering wuss -- or someone pretending to be strong until they find a man to take care of them. "

" This book is sort of a throwback to some of Linda Howard's MUCH earlier books. They were quick romances involving a guy with some sort of military background and a woman both in some peril, usually in a jungle or in this case, a mountain forest. The woman usually ends up having to care for the man at some point...in this instance after a plane crash. They dislike each other at first, but always fall in lust and then love, they survive, the mystery is solved...the end. She is capable of writing much more comlex novels and has in the past. I'm not sure why the latest ones have gone back to that earlier formula. Hopefully we'll get more of her best work next time. "
