Publisher Description

The series takes place in a world similar to our own but one where vampires, witches, werewolves and shape-shifters live among humans without their knowledge. These supernatural races make up a secret society known as the Night World, which enforces two fundamental laws to prevent discovery: 1) Never allow humans to gain knowledge of the Night World's existence and, 2) Never fall in love with one of them. In Secret Vampire, Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World.

"my dear LJ Smith. you continue to amaze me. i was at walmart and saw the SECOND book for five dollars. i wanted to read the first one first obviously, but it wasnt there, and i NEEDED a book. so my mom bought me the first and third books. i went home, bought the first one off borders and waited, but waiting wasnt going to delay my flight to mexico, and i needed something to read. i realized i could read these books in any order... 1,3,2 or 3,2,1, or 2,3,1. the latter of them being the order i read it in. tey are beautiful tales and a wonderful introduction to the wrightings of LJ Smith. i have been avidly awaiting the next installment of the series for three years. go to walmart and buy it now."

" These were some what short stories but they did a good job of keeping my interest. They were well written, not as detailed as I like or as I'm use to with some of the other Authors I liked but I would recomend these to people who enjoy the stories of the Night. "

" I loved that the book was divided into different mini stories. The characters had personality and loved how each one was described. My only problem with the stories was that it seemed the characters were "falling in love" too quickly. And they were being forced into just excepting that they found their "soulmates". I really think each individual story would have been better had they each have been their own book. "
