Publisher Description

My name - my True Name - is Ashallayn'darkmyr Tallyn. I am the last remaining son of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court. And I am dead to her. My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl....

To cold faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.

Then Meghan Chase - a half human, half fey slip of a girl - smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.

With the unwelcome company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end - a quest to find a way to honor his vow to stand by Meghan's side.

To survive in the Iron Realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. And along the way, Ash learns something that changes everything: a truth that challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

"You know when one of your favorite series ends, and it's a little depressing? Not because anything's wrong with the book, just because you've become so attached to the characters and their world? Well, that's exactly what this book was for me. It was an AWESOME read and I could not put it down. Ash's perspective was a nice change from Meghan's commentary, and it really helps you to understand him better. 2 difficult issues - the crimes of his past, and his past love, Ariella - were dealt with expertly, and I felt like both were fully explained and resolved. The ending was everything I would have hoped for, but with the exact right amount of sacrifice and hard work to get there - it didn't feel corny, expected, or just another "happily ever after". All in all, a fantastic read and the perfect ending to the series, but definitely bittersweet as well. Definitely recommend it!"

" I so enjoyed this series, and couldn't wait to read TIK. I don't know, I guess I felt betrayed by this book a bit. It read to me like he kept on with his quest because of his vow, otherwise, he would've been happy to stay with his first love. It made me dislike him, and that was one of the last things I wanted to do. "

" I would say 3.5. Of the series this is my favorite probably because I don't want to slap Meghan and Ash and tell them to realize what is happening. This one is from Ash's point of view as he tries to fulfill his promise to find a way to return to the Iron realm to be with Meghan. We have all our favorite characters, Puck is still around, Grim is still around, and we meet another one I really enjoyed, the Big Bad Wolf. Along with all of this we take a look at Ash's past. So far this is my favorite of them all. "

" This book was my favorite of the whole series!!!! It was a lot more interesting from Ash's point of view and there was a lot of action and surprises and so much more. It also took me to places of the Nevernever tht were terrifying. Also, in the Kindle ebook, the Q & A made me laugh soooooo much!! "
