Kristi Bentz wants to write true crime. All she needs is that one case that will take her to the top. She finds it when she enrolls at All Saints College after learning that four girls have disappeared in less than two years.
All four girls were "lost souls"—troubled, vulnerable girls with no one to care about them, no one to come looking for them if they disappeared. The only person that believes Kristi is her ex-lover, Jay McKnight, a professor on campus. The police think they're runaways, but Kristi senses there's something that links them—something terrifying. . .
As Kristi gets deeper into her investigation, she gets the feeling she's being watched and followed—studied, even. Then the bodies start turning up, and Kristi realizes she is playing a game with a killer who has selected her for membership in a special club from which there will be no escaping death. . .

"A good friend suggested I give Lisa Jackson a try and Lost Souls was the first one I grabbed. I really enjoyed this book, it has some good love scenes and an overall great story. I've read 16 of Lisa's books and can honestly say have only disliked 1, sctually I hated it lol, but that's ok, it won't stop me from reading more of her novels."

" Another excellent book by Lisa Jackson. Lost Souls was captivating. I was riveted and on the edge of my seat. I've loved every book of this genre by LJ. "

— Jerri, 1/26/2014" I am about 1/4 through the book and it is darker than most of her books. I find myself plodding. I am half way through and have stopped. There is something about this book that is menacing, but in a very slow moving way. I already think I know the ending; too cliche. "
— Peggy, 1/12/2014" Never would have read this had I realized how creepy it was going to be. That said, I liked it anyway. "

— Cathy, 12/15/2013" I picked up this book because I love Lisa Jackson's mysteries. What I didn't realize (because I didn't read the dust jacket) was that this book is a mystery about "vampires". Not my cup of tea, I'm happy to be done. Still the style of writing that I like, but man... vampires?? "
— Jesse, 12/12/2013" if you luved Twilight readings and vampires ...this one will have you captivated....a lil more sinsiter ...murder and mystery ...and ah a bit "vampy" "

— Laura, 4/29/2013" I read this book before realizing it is part of a series of books. Despite that, the book did keep me intrigued and I wish there was a "History of Vampirism" class being held locally, I would love to take it. Even tho, the book is part of a series, it was easy to follow. "
— Rhonda, 3/8/2013" Though I liked this book, it wasn't her best in the New Orleans Series. "
