In the aftermath of her mother's murder, Paige Winterbourne broke with the elite, ultraconservative American Coven of Witches. Now her goal is to start a new coven for a new generation. But while Paige pitches her vision to uptight thirty-something witches in business suits, a more urgent matter commands her attention.
Someone is murdering the teenage offspring of the underworld's most influential cabals—a circle of families that makes the mob look like amateurs. And none is more powerful than the Cortez Cabal, a faction Paige is intimately acquainted with. Lucas Cortez, the rebel son and unwilling heir, is none other than her boyfriend. But love isn't blind, and Paige has her eyes wide open as she is drawn into a hunt for an unnatural-born killer. Pitted against shamans, demons, and goons, it's a battle chilling enough to make a wild young woman grow up in a hurry—if she gets the chance.

"I was stoked to read Paige's story after being introduced to her and Savannah in Stolen. The witch vs sorcerer magic is interesting and the love story with the witch and geeky sorcerer/cabal son Lucas was sexy and sweet. It was lovely to see Paige and Savanna forge their new relationship and start building a strong family bond. I'm looking forward to reading Savannah's stories."

“Breakneck action is tempered by deep psychological insights, intense sensuality, and considerable humor.”
— Publishers Weekly" This episode from the series once again follows paige, this time dealing with lucas' family, the Cabals, and a murder mystery....ohhh! Much like the rest - a good story if your brains not up for an heavy duty stuff. "

— Sue, 4/30/2011" Decent book. Not quite as good as the first 3 in the series though. Think I prefer the ones that I have a bit more wolf pack involvement so far. Read the whole book in one sitting though which is always a good sign that I did enjoy it. "
— Kyle, 4/26/2011" Really slow beginning took FOREVER to get into it but when I did it got better "
— Rana, 3/8/2011" ¡Me ha encantado! Es mucho mejor que el anterior, tiene mucha más acción. El argumento está muy bien montado. Lo único que he echado de menos son algunos momentos más íntimos entre los personajes. "
— Victalian, 3/6/2011" Unnecessary sexual scenes inserted in a decent storyline. "
— Sabrina, 3/2/2011" I really loved this new Paige and Lucas adventure. Plus, we got to meet Lucas' dad and got to see Clay, Elena and Jeremy also. And the introduction to Jaime Vegas was hilarious. Great book! "
— Laura, 3/2/2011" So sad to move on from Paige/Lucas...mostly because I'm in love with Lucas ;) "
— Sophia, 2/19/2011" At this point I was missing the werewolves, but this was a good story with Paige and Lucas, as well as Savannah. The characters continue to grow and you can't NOT root for them. "
