The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Otherworld series delivers her most suspenseful novel yet, where the discovery of Cainsville’s dark past and the true nature of its inhabitants leads to murder, redemption, love, and unspeakable loss.

Olivia Taylor Jones’s life has exploded. She’s discovered she is not only adopted, but her real parents are convicted serial killers. Fleeing the media frenzy, she took refuge in the oddly secluded town of Cainsville. She has since solved the town’s mysteries and finds herself not only the target of its secretive elders but also her stalker ex-fiancé.

Visions continue to haunt her: particularly a little blond girl in a green sundress who insists she has an important message for Olivia, one that may help her balance the light and darkness within herself. Death stalks both Olivia and the two men most important to her, as she desperately searches to understand whether ancient scripts are dictating the triangle that connects them. Will darkness prevail, or does Olivia have the power to prevent a tragic fate?

  • Like the creepy, spooky town of Cainsville, Kelley Armstrong's OMENS lured me in. I was too busy, way too busy for this book, which, through a series of surprises and sleights of hand, had me conspiring for ways to get back to the gripping story, the colorfully bizarre cast of characters, and the clever, strong, smart heroine at its center. " Amazing third book that leaves me wanting to listen to Book 4 right this minute! If you have not read the first 2 books of the Cainsville series, then you should as Deceptions starts right after Omens and Visions. For those of you who have already read the first 2 books, then Book 3 should be a treat as it answers a lot of questions from the previous books. But the main draw (at least for me) is the relationship between Olivia and Gabriel. They're not in a sexual relationship. But this book certainly does a lot to even better develop their bond. So fans who ship Olivia and Gabriel shouldn't miss this installment of the Cainsville series. And if you like Ricky and Olivia as a couple, then I think you wouldn't want to miss out on this as well While I know a lot of readers are put off by love triangles, the beauty of this series is that I love all three people (Olivia, Gabriel and Ricky) in the aforementioned love triangle. Each of them has a dark side, but Book 3 just shows how much their good side shines. Both guys are a match for Olivia. So while I myself prefer Gabriel, I have no doubt that Olivia would be just as happy with Ricky. For anyone wondering, this book does not end in a cliff hanger. However, I got so addicted to this series that I want Book 4 & 5 right now. Unfortunately, (at the time of this writing), the audiobooks for the next installments do not exist yet for purchase. And that's just disappointing. Because at this moment, I am in the mood to purchase them! "

About the Author

Kelley Armstrong has been telling stories since before she could write. Her earliest written efforts were disastrous. If asked for a story about girls and dolls, hers would invariably feature undead girls and evil dolls, much to her teachers’ dismay. All efforts to make her produce “normal” stories failed. Today, she continues to spin tales of ghosts, demons, and werewolves, while safely locked away in her basement writing dungeon. She is the author of the Darkest Powers young adult urban fantasy trilogy, the Women of the Otherworld paranormal suspense series, and the Nadia Stafford crime series. She lives in southwestern Ontario, Canada, with her husband, kids, and far too many pets.

About the Narrators

Anne E. Hill has written more than a dozen books for children and teens including the biographies of Tyra Banks, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, and Sting. She lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her family.

Mozhan Marnò is an Iranian American film and television actress, most notably appearing in Charlie Wilson’s War and Bones. Her audiobook narrations have won several AudioFile Earphones Awards.
