The Alaskan wilderness is a harsh landscape in the best of conditions, but with a pack of rogue werewolves on the loose, it's downright deadly.
Elena Michaels, the Pack's chief enforcer, knows all too well the havoc "mutts" can wreak. When they hear of a series of gruesome maulings and murders outside Anchorage, she and her husband, Clay, journey to Alaska in the dead of winter in order to hunt down the dangerous werewolves.
Trapped in this savage, untamed winter realm, she and Clay learn more about their own werewolf heritage than they bargained for, tapping a little more into the wild nature of the beast within.

"Frostbitten brings us back to the beginning by focusing on the werewolves Elena and Clay. It seems like Kelley Armstrong learned from her past mistakes and returned to what works for the stories. This is a strong story where the werewolves are in Alaska and end up hunting mutts and meeting potential pack members, unlike Broken. We also are not jumping from pov to pov like in Persona Demons. Hopefully the rest of the series fallows suit."

“The Arctic region grows colder and more eerie when you’re attempting to track down rogue werewolves who abandon half-eaten human prey. Fortunately, reader favorites Elena Michaels and Clayton Danvers are on the case, keeping adrenaline high and libidos percolating. A werewolf pack worth following.”
— Barnes & Noble, editorial review“Elena Michaels’ journey has been one of the strongest points of the compelling Women of the Otherworld series. Now Armstrong sets her on a new and influential path in this arctic adventure. The icy, wild setting gives this tale a special edge. It seems there’s more in the wilderness than even the werewolves dreamed of. Armstrong outdoes herself again!”
— RT Book Reviews (4½ stars, Top Pick!)“Gripping…Elena makes a great Alpha-style leader as she holds her own against male beasts and solves the well-crafted mystery.”
— Publishers Weekly“Armstrong writes page-turning prose.”
— Booklist" Elena is still my favorite character. Somehow with her in it the story flows much better than the other stories in the same series. "
— Pà¹â‚¬cɨℓiÄ…*, 2/5/2014" Elena is my favorite character to read about. I love her kids and can't wait to see her as alpha. "
— Kristy, 1/31/2014" This was a good book, with its plot on par with the rest of the series. Tht way, it was nothing special. What made it so good, was showing that there were still discovries to be made, and that there was still mysteries in the world, even to the paranormal characters. It made it truly see otherworldy. "
— Nicole, 1/10/2014" Omfg I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS THE LAST CLAY AND ELENA BOOK WAGHHHH!!!!! I felt so bad for Elena. But it's all good now. I wish her kids were in it more. I love Clay so much. "
— Emma, 12/25/2013" Amazing novel about Elena/Clay-I'm so glad the author continued exploring their relationship in this series past the introductory phase. "
— Karina, 12/14/2013" An Elena story! Yay! Although, I would have enjoyed a bit more interaction with the twins. "
— Tammy, 12/12/2013" I've read everything in this series so far. It's all goofy - a mix between a fantasy book and a harlequin romance. A great way to pass a few hours without having to think too much! "
— Phenonemom, 11/28/2013" good but didn't bring in any other non-pack characters. i missed having others show up in the story "
— Denise, 11/27/2013" I love Elena & Clay! "
— Liz, 4/11/2013" Another great Kelley Armstrong book! Just regret reading it too fast!!!! "
— Jill, 3/18/2013" I love Elena. And I was very, very glad that there was no shooting of wolves from helicopters (no shooting of wolves at all, actually) in this book, which was my main concern when I saw that it was set in Alaska. "
— Kellyann, 12/15/2012" I am really enjoying this book. So far it's my fave of the Otherworld series. It has a lot more Elena/Clay time which I like. Clay is so sexy. His love & devotion to Elena just makes my knees weak. lol "
— Candy, 9/21/2012" Brilliant! Well paced & action packed! I do prefer the Clay/Elena/Pack stories :-) "
— Jenna, 2/27/2012" LOVED IT! Armstrong does a great job making you feel as if you can understand wolves and what is in their minds. "
— Ann, 12/15/2011" Elena and Clay follow a mutt up to Alaska and find that the Alaskan wilderness has more to it than meets the eye. In the course of their travels in Alaska, Elena faces what she thinks is her greatest fear only to find out that there is more to fear out there. "

— Krista, 8/18/2011" The Pack is back. Need I say more? "
— Erin, 6/2/2011" I enjoy Ms. Armstrong's books. I like the werewolf stories and the other series. I like that her female characters are strong women who do not sit around waiting for their men to do something. They act not react. "

— Karen, 5/17/2011" I just never tire of this series. :) "
— Collette, 4/25/2011" I'm a little tired of hearing about Elena and Clay. I prefer when two main characters have one novel to themselves and then show up as incidental characters in subsequent books. "
— Jennifer, 4/19/2011" Fast paced story with enjoyable characters. "
— Renne, 4/17/2011" Really had a good time reading Frostbitten. Loved the interaction between Elena and Clay as well as the other shifters they encounter along the way. "
— Fiona, 4/17/2011" It was a good story, however I found it the hardest of the series to get through so far... Some parts of the middle chapters were skipped over as I didn't find they added anything to the storyline and were keeping me from moving on with it. Overall another great book in the Otherworld series. "

Frostbitten, The Gathering, and No Humans Involved were New York Times bestsellers. She believes experience is the best teacher, though she has been told this shouldn’t apply to writing her murder scenes. To craft her books, she has studied aikido, archery, and fencing. She sucks at all of them. She has also crawled through very shallow cave systems and climbed half a mountain before chickening out.
