Publisher Description

When a murder disrupts the Irish vacation she is taking with her husband, Roarke, Eve realizes that no place is safe—not an Irish wood or the streets of the manic city she calls home. But nothing prepares her for what she discovers upon her return to the cop shop in New York City.... A driver for a top-of-the-line limousine service is found dead—shot through the neck with a crossbow. The car was booked by an executive at a venerable security company whose identity had been stolen. Days later, a stunning, high-priced escort is found killed at Coney Island, a bayonet stuck in her heart. And again, the trail leads to a CEO whose information has been hijacked. With a method established, but no motive to be found, Eve begins to fear that she has come across that most dangerous of criminals, a thrill killer, but one with a taste for the finer things in life—and death. Eve does not know where or when the next kill will be, or that her investigation will take her to the rarefied circle that Roarke travels in—and into the perverted heart of madness....

"A guilty pleasure but I have listened to/read every "in death" installment and will continue until they are no longer being written. Love the character development from book to book and the mystery is always interesting. The reader does an excellent job with the voices."

" She is just off her feed. I had to pick up Naked in Death as a palette cleanser. These books are getting predictable and boring: of course there are always flashes of Eve & Roarke brilliance but overall, I may have read the last book in this series that I'll feel the need to eventually buy in softcover at a UBS. Take a year off Nora! Let the creative juices for this series start to flow again. "

" A detective, Eve, and her husband Roarke make a good couple in tracking down crime. She had a very nice relationship with his family in Ireland but always comes back to her native job of "crime-fighting. From crossbows to bayonets being used as weapons, they set out to find the killers. A good story but at times was repeticious. "

" Another quality JD Robb/Nora Roberts book in this series. Roarke continues to be the hottest man in any books, in my humble opinion, and Eve Dallas kicks ass! "

" I love the title of this book, as I always feel its an indulgence to read the JB Robb books. I get empowered by Eve's actions and get to live the life of a kickass detective. When I grow up, I want to be Eve Dallas. Or maybe Peabody. Hard to choose between the two. "

" I enjoyed it, and had a hard time putting it down. However, compared to some of the previous books it lacked a bit of suspense and the dialog is getting a bit harsh. It's hard to read with all the clipped conversation. Still love Roarke and Eve though! "
