Publisher Description

Brittany Callaghan thinks she's dreaming when a blond, nearly seven-feet-tall Nordic god shows up on her doorstep in her tiny California town. He claims to be a barbarian warrior in need of her help.

Though a stunning, statuesque beauty herself, intelligent and independent Brittany has struggled hard to earn respect in a man's world. She is taken aback when Dalden, a spectacular Viking who is a long way from home, needs her help-and is willing to pay for it. He's had Brittany's blood running red-hot since she first saw him, and warrior or no, she agrees to help him.

As bold and brash as she is beautiful, Brittany isn't going to be subservient to any man, even one who is everything she ever wanted in a lover, and whose very touch sets her senses afire. Dalden is a warrior to the depths of his soul—proud, powerful and brave—a man who will fight fearlessly and relentlessly for what he wants. And now, what he wants most of all is Brittany.…

" Read this on a total whim, such a bad choice. The story itself was a throw away story. The character development was downright awful. The main female character was obnoxious, the main male character had zero personality, and the overall idea of male dominance in the story line was angering. The end was a total disappointment, that she gave into a submissive role. Like I get the whole you need to respect another culture if that is where you live. But he didn't even ask her to go with her he just took her. And all this bull about her not caring that she was more or less kidnapped because she loved him. Also from a writing stand point I don't know what was going on, the dialog was terrible and the chapters ended on such random areas. She could have condensed a good amount of the chapters she had. "

" The third in Johanna Lindsey's Ly-San-Ter series. A venture into the sci-fi romance genre. Another one of those books that had some great moments but too many blah moments to really go higher than 3 stars. "

" So far this is a fun read/listen-to. It's not too serious and I actually laugh out loud sometimes. I'm surprised how much I like it. The beginning was a little cumbersome with all the explainations of the alien culture with made-up words, which made it hard to keep track of everything, but it get's better. "

" Third in the series, this one's not quite as good, but was still enjoyable. Same barbarian-running-into-civilized-female storyline, but with an Earth-centered twist. Johanna Lindsay tells a good story, and it's fun escapism. "
