"After the intensity of "The Help" I decided I need to go back to the next in this series of "fun fluff" books ... and it didn't disappoint me. I really enjoy this series, because I like the characters and I enjoy the author's vision of what the world might be like in 50 years ... which doesn't seem all that far-fetched to me."

" I WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE OF THESE BOOKS, BUT SCARED WHAT I IMAGE THE CHARACTERS TO BE WILL NOT BE WHAT I SEE ON SCREEN, THEN I'LL BE DISAPPOINTED. ALSO, THE NARRATOR ROCKS! SAME AS VOICES, THEY WON'T SOUND LIKE WHAT SUSAN ERICKSON PORTRAYS THEM TO BE "
— SUZIQUE, 10/26/2022" I love Eve and Roarke and especially love it when they team up to solve a case. This one didn't hold a lot of surprises but I enjoyed the extra time they got to spend together. "
— Sharal, 2/14/2014" I'll go ahead and add all the JD Robb books to my list, but let's just say this - there hasn't been one that I haven't managed to finish in a week, regardless of the rest of life. They simply suck you in. There's no tougher girl than Eve Dallas. "
— Natalie, 2/6/2014" Not too bad a book but the mystery buildup is not as strong and always seem to end too abrupt and fast.. "
— Angel, 1/31/2014" This has been one of the most interesting book of this series. For the first time, we really see Eve in danger of losing what she feels makes her who she is. This book felt more personal than some of the others, and I liked that. "
— Beth, 1/8/2014" Loved this one a lot -- a nasty competitor to Eve is introduced and causes her amazing strife. Really good scenes btwn Eve & Roarke! "
— Maryann, 1/6/2014" For the full review (and to learn how Alaina intends to spend her monies upon winning the lottery), click the link to That's What She Read. "
— Alaina, 12/22/2013" Excellent! can't get enough of this series. "
— Macy, 8/12/2013" I enjoyed this one because it showed the personal side. What would life be if she was not a cop. "
— Lynn, 5/20/2013" My bathtub book. Because, if it falls into the tub I have a dozen other "in Death" books to take its place. "
— Bcoghill, 5/4/2013" i really liked this one- my favorite so far "
— July, 3/16/2013" I didn't enjoy all in this book. The lengthy "hot" scenes were the main turn down. "
— Jean-louis, 1/12/2013" This book was incredible. Eve's breakdown was so painfully real, and the solidarity between the characters so touching. Excellent job, overall. "
— Ariel, 9/19/2012" On the relationship/character side it's a great exploration of the importance of work and usefulness to personal identity. "
— LDL, 8/30/2012" Not my favorite Eve Dallas novel, but still a fun read. "
— Amy, 4/20/2012" Amazing as always! This series just keeps getting better! "
— Skye, 2/23/2012" Chilling as it's all too possible. "
— Kathy, 8/15/2011" I think I'm really liking the more vulnerable Dallas. She's really growing in her relationships and personal life. And Roarke...how can you not love him??? YUM "
— Sassafrass, 5/10/2011" My favourite one to date "
— Elizabeth, 5/10/2011" Go ahead, help yourself to my organs for profit, no problem. Eve is suspended and has to work outside the law. "
— Sheila, 5/1/2011" I'm always guaranteed a good read when I read J.D. Robb. I haven't read the whole series straight through, I picked up books here and there and read most of the latest ones. This one is an earlier one but still thoroughly enjoyable. It was a quick, engrossing, fun read. "
— Jessica, 4/2/2011" I didn't like the mystery aspect of this nearly as much as the others, but I loved all the personal drama. "
— Jasmine, 3/16/2011" I did not read these in order, even going back it is fun. I enjoy learning how Eve meets characters like Louise. "
— Kara, 3/11/2011" Someone playing God, is killing for "parts". "
— Nana, 3/10/2011" Her plots and characters keep me coming back for more! "
— Artha, 1/16/2011" Good reading if you like murder mystseries. I have read 10 books in the series and have liked all of them. "
— Lori, 1/15/2011" One of my fav. of this series thus far "
