"Murder is committed in front of a thousand witnesses, including Dallas. This book was interesting for several reasons. First, the murder scene in the play becomes real life. Second, Dallas has to work around the many faces/roles of actors/actresses to find truth. Additionally, everyone despises the victim. Of course Dallas is always great but this book has true drama. Despite the interesting story line every Dallas book will be hot for one reason....Roarke!"

" I enjoy the whodunit aspects of these stories almost as much as the character interactions. It's very easy to get lost in the story lines and caught up in the action. "
— Tishea, 2/16/2014" Snarky theater people - yea!! "
— Carol, 1/29/2014" I liked it so much I even watched the movie version of the play "witness for the prosecution". "
— Kim, 1/11/2014" I found Witness in Death by J.D. Robb to be an enjoyable mystery. The mystery in this story takes place in and around a death on a theater stage. Lt. Eve Dallas takes over the case and begins sifting through the suspects. All the usual police personnel are there, the banter, the bickering between them keeping everything moving forward. I recommend this book to all who like mystery stories and followers of this series. "
— JanBreesmom, 1/8/2014" One of the things I like about Eve is her unrepentant dislike of cooking! In this story, Eve is trying to get the hang of this marriage thing and works on overcoming this dislike before solving a rather theatrical death. "
