First, drop in at 5-B Poppy Lane, where you’ll get a chance to visit with Helen Shelton, her granddaughter Ruth, and Ruth’s husband, Paul. They’ll offer you a cup of mulled cider and the story of how they met—and they’ll share Helen’s breathtaking adventures during the Second World War.
Then drive out to Grace and Cliff Harding’s place. They have a small horse ranch not far from Cedar Cove. Mary Jo Wyse and her little girl, Noelle, will be there, too. Join them in reliving their memories of the Christmas Mary Jo came to Cedar Cove, pregnant and alone, and had her baby in the Hardings’ stable (well, actually the apartment above it). That’s the night firefighter Mack McAfee began to fall for Mary Jo and the idea of a family—with her.

"I absolutely love Debbie Macomber. Haven't read a bad book by her yet! I was given MOST of the Cedar Cove series and am in the process of completing the collection (really sucks that #3 and #5 are missing) but I love the fact that she gives just enough back story in each subsequent book that you can keep up with what's going on but you don't feel like you're reading the previous book over again. I have recommended Debbie to just about everyone I know who appreciates books that draw you in and tell you to kick off your shoes and make yourself at home."

— Diana, 1/23/2014" Cute book about a young pregnant female who goes looking for her boyfriend and his family in Cedar Cove. Then she has her baby on Christmas Eve and falls in love with the EMT guy. Well, she wasn't in love with the boyfriend, and he had treated her like dirt. "
— Merceda, 1/18/2014" This was a fun Christmas story. It is based loosely on the original Christmas story. I did enjoy this book; it is a quick read and fun to have some Christmas in October. "
— Angie, 1/17/2014" EXCELLENT Christmas story! Picks right up where book eight in the Cedar Cove Series left off. What a special treat to have another book thrown in there with these amazing characters before September! And I LOVE the new characters! Looking even more forward to book nine than I was before... "

— Jamie, 8/28/2013" I have been reading the Cedar Cove series since Debbie Macomber started them so when I saw her new Christmas book took place in Cedar Cove I had to get it. It was a fun read involving some old familiar characters as well as some new ones. I hope to see Mary Jo in her next Cedar Cove book. "

— Kelley, 7/15/2011" So, so stupid and cheesy. It was so bad, I had to read the whole thing just to know something this bad actually does exist. "
— Maury, 5/15/2011" True to the soap opera style of writing that is the Cedar Cove series. It is nice to catch up with some of the town's other characters in the season of Christmas. However, it was a little over done with all of the similarities of the birth of Noelle to the birth of Christ. "
— Kathy, 4/30/2011" This is another in the Cedar Cove series. These are light reading but enjoyable. Great for carrying with you to read while waiting for doctor appointment. This book gives you two Christmas vignettes, both good. "

— Becky, 1/11/2011" The rating is based on the first short story, 5-B Poppy Lane as I had read the 2nd story over the summer. "
— Mom2jngncna~, 12/30/2010" It's always nice to read a Debbie Macomber book at Christmas, its like visting an old friend. "
— Cindy, 12/28/2010" I bought this book thinking that it was a new book but I have already read these stories in 2 other books. They are good, but not happy about spending money on this book and finding out that I already read it!

"
— Amber, 12/23/2010" Good light reading. This book contains two parts. The second part filled in the gap I was looking for in the Cedar Cove series. "
— Bobbie, 12/22/2010" Disappointed with this book. The cover makes it sound like it is the latest Cedar Cove series. It is a republsh from a few years ago. "
