Dear Listener,
Guess what? I’m falling in love! With Mack McAfee.
My baby daughter, Noelle, and I have been living next door to Mack since the spring. I’m still a little wary about our relationship, because I haven’t always made good decisions when it comes to men. My baby’s father, David Rhodes, is testament to that. I’m so worried he might sue for custody.
In the meantime, the World War II letters I found are a wonderful distraction. Both Mack and I are trying to learn what happened to the soldier who wrote them and the woman he loved.
Come by sometime for a glass of iced tea and I’ll show you the letters. Plus I’ll tell you the latest about Grace and Olivia, my brother Linc and his wife, Lori (who tied the knot about five minutes after they met!), and all our other mutual friends. Oh, and maybe Mack can join us….

"As usual Debbie McCombers book is easy reading. This book keeps you going wondering what is going to happen. I'm glad I had read the prior book recently so all the characters were very familiar to me. I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens to David, Mary Jo and all the others."

" Pretty good book. Had a lot of characters and a lot going. Didn't really focus on one family like the other books. "
— Allison, 2/11/2014" liked the developing story and the characters of Cedar Cove "
— Christal, 2/9/2014" This was a good book. Cried in some parts and wanted to hit Jolene. "
— Marla, 2/4/2014" While I don't like this series as well as I do the Blossom Street series, I have read all of it and enjoyed it. But this book was a disappointment. It has no continuity (very choppy) and too many characters. It really pulled me out of the story -- and got to be irritating -- that every time a character appeared, the story stops, and the author reviews who they are and what has happened to them in the last nine books. And if they make another appearance later in the book, it happens again. Additionally, if you took out all the reviewing, there wasn't much of a story left. The author starts a new story line towards the end of the book and just drops it at a crisis point essentially saying get the next book to find out what happens. Ok, the series is basically a soap opera in print form but she's been smoother than that in past books. The thing is, even with the abrupt ending, or maybe because of it, I don't really think I want to read the next one. "
— Jo, 2/4/2014" I always enjoy a visit to Cedar Cove! Light reading and it's fun to catch up with the residents each year. "
— Pattie, 1/23/2014" the last book in the series.....really have enjoyed the series!! "
— Sherryl, 1/17/2014" If there'd have been another book to listen to, this would have been relegated to the "sent back" shelf. This is the first of the Cedar Cove series I've listened to. While I generally like Debbie Macomber's books, I did not like this book & will probably not listen to any more Cedar Cove books. "
— Odetta, 1/14/2014" Another delightful gossipy visit with our friends in Cedar Cove. "
— Debra, 12/21/2013" Pretty sappy and repetative but I made it through. "
— Charmaine, 12/13/2013" last of the Cedar Cove Series - I hope to see more since there are many characters whose lives are not settled yet. Easy reading and very enjoyable. "
— Kathy, 11/19/2013" I always love visiting Cedar Cove. The characters feel like old friends. "
— Missy, 10/25/2013" Ok so Debbie Macomber has me hook line and sinker for this series. I like this book very much because it focused on the younger people a bit more. "
— Amber, 10/5/2013" I like this series and look forward to the next one. "
— Gloria, 9/18/2013" I have read many of Macomber's novels in her address series, and so far I have enjoyed them all. They are a light, fast read, perfect for an escape from boredom. "
— Gay, 9/7/2013" One of the best ones in the series!! I really enjoyed the "love letters". Can't wait for a new one!! "
— Julie, 9/7/2013" Getting very frustrated with this series. I guess it is the nature of a series, but each book spends more and more time rehashing what happened in the previous novels. Just not fun to read anymore. This will likely be my last visit to Cedar Cove. "
— Kasey, 7/8/2013" NOTE: Still deciding between 4 or 5 stars "
— Jackie, 6/15/2013" My friend passed this book on to me...now I feel like I sucked into another series of books I have to read! :) "
— Lynn, 2/4/2013" I was desperate for something to read and grabbed it at a trkstop and wished I hadn't. "
— Dee, 1/31/2013" Enjoyed reading another Cedar Cove based book---know the characters well!! "
— Diane, 11/16/2012" another address another happy ending!! which I am a sucker for and just love the characters of Cedar Cove, can't wait to hear from them again next year! "
— Deb, 11/11/2012" Love the Cedar Cove series! Just wish I didn't have to wait 8 months for the final book!! "
— Jenni, 11/3/2012" Love this story wish she would write faster. lol "
— Kim, 8/3/2012" I really liked this book ... the entire series is great! The part about the war hero and his "love" was exceptionally interesting. Debbie Macomber's books are always a treat. "
— Glenda, 7/19/2012" Good but a little slow but of course I'm ready to read the next book in this series. "
— Grace, 4/29/2012" Another great book about the Cedar Cove gang. Makes you want to read the next one. "
— Dru, 1/16/2012" Good easy read. Love the Cedar Cove series and can't wait for the next one to come out in September! "
— Gayle, 9/6/2011" My first Cedar Cove book (unfortunately the last of the series) but I'm hooked. Picked up six of the earlier ones in a used bookstore on Saturday. Ready to start from the beginning now. "
— Karen, 8/13/2011" Easy reading. Typical plot of this author. I do enjoy here series but not spectacular writing. "
— Sadie, 6/22/2011" Silly to read book #10 without reading the earlier books. Also something I'd enjoy listening to more than reading. I might try to get the others on CD. "
— Sue, 6/21/2011" I loved this series. Waiting for book number 11 to come out in August. "
— Kristen, 6/9/2011" I always enjoy reading Debbie Macomber, she's an enjoyable author. However, sometimes her characters and plot lines just don't ring true. I know "romance" novels are complete fantasy, but I like it when the storyline at least feels genuine. "
— Elizabeth, 5/27/2011" This series is like a soap opera - just can't read out of order. Too many characters and no ending of story lines - except one. Her Blossom Street series more stand alone. "
— Teresa, 5/4/2011" This story does not stand on its own but is a direct pick up of the events of the previous book in the series. It was very shallow, with multiple characters none of which are developed, in this book. I would have stopped reading this except it was for a group discussion. "
— Karla, 4/15/2011" I was desperate for something to read and grabbed it at a trkstop and wished I hadn't. "
— Dee, 4/6/2011" Enjoyed reading another Cedar Cove based book---know the characters well!! "
