Publisher Description

Olivia Lockhart-Griffin

Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Listener,

I'm sorry to say that our good sheriff, Troy Davis, has suffered a disappointment in love. He was hoping to marry his onetime girlfriend, Faith Beckwith, who recently moved back to town. Well, the latest is that Faith ended the relationship last month, even though both of them are widowed and available. According to Troy, there were a few misunderstandings between them—some inadvertently caused, it seems, by his daughter, Megan.

Troy's got plenty to keep him occupied, though—like the unidentified remains found in a cave outside town. And the break-ins at 204 Rosewood Lane, the house Faith just happens to be renting from Grace Harding….

All of that's a distraction from what's happening in my life. I'm going through chemo right now, and I'm so grateful for my husband, Jack, my family and my friends, who give me the strength and support I need to beat this. But beat it I will!

I'd suggest meeting at Troy's place, 92 Pacific Boulevard, so we can all talk, but the Pancake Palace is probably a better choice if you want a decent cup of coffee!

"As with the other books in this series I enjoyed this book also. I am a little bit sad that I have now read all of the books in this series that have been written. I started with the first book in July and now finished the last book that was just published. It has been fun to see how each character evolves and the new ones that are added along the way. I will definitely read the next one that come out next fall."

" I love her books. They are easy reads and you feel like you can really connect with the characters. There is a little romance, maybe a little mystery but nothing you would be ashamed to have your 10-year-old see. It's a pleasant breath of fresh air. "

" I don't think I have ever read any Debbie Macomber's books before and thought I would try this one since it was rated higher than her others. What a disappointment. I believe the author was trying to introduce every inhabitant of the small town. Although there were two events that raised some interest and added a little mystery to the story they were wrapped up rather hurriedly near the end of the book. Most characters were very sketchily developed. There were two couples who hastily decided to tie the knot though they didn't really know each other. The story had the obligatory womanizer, cancer survivor, problem teen, and young adults still searching to find themselves. I felt that the author left the characters undeveloped so she could write them into her next book in the series. The book was okay but I will not read the next one. "
