At the end of Fuzzy Navel, J. A. Konrath surprised listeners with an agonizing cliff-hanger: One of Lieutenant Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels’s loved ones is dead. But who? Listeners were left clamoring to know more.
Cherry Bomb, the sixth Jack Daniels mystery, opens at the funeral. While Jack stands graveside, tears in her eyes, her cell phone rings. It’s the killer, escaped maniac Alex Kork, taunting Jack, drawing her ever further into a twisted game of cat and mouse. Because while Alex is more than willing to kill random victims, Jack is her true prey. But which woman wants revenge more?
Cherry Bomb is J. A. Konrath’s most gripping novel of suspense yet—filled with twists and turns that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

"I like all of Konrath's works. They are page turners and once you start them you can't put them down. I wish he would add a bit more humor to his books though. At times they are a bit dark. I do not like to see everyone that becomes a semi-romantic interest die, and die in such a gruesome way."

" Just when I think "ok, the series has to go downhill eventually, they all do!" Konrath belts out another thrill ride. Loved it! "
— Maggie, 2/16/2014" Two words - holy f***. I love Konrath. "
— Heather, 2/6/2014" This series gets more and more WILD. "
— Stacy, 2/3/2014" Just found this author. I'm not into fiction but J.A. Konrath keeps me interested. Fun book to read. "
— John, 1/13/2014" I liked a lot of this story, it was predictable but it was a good read. I was curious about what the psycho killer Alex would do next. What I didn't like was the flipping from past to present tense in the writing. All of Alex's parts were in the present tense while all of Jack's was in the past tense. I've discovered I prefer past tense. This is the first I've read by J.A. Konrath. "
— Maggie, 1/8/2014" not quite as good as the others in the series, but an ok read. "
— Robin, 12/25/2013" A great read and a wonderful book in the Jack Daniels series. Full review can be found on Amazon.com. "
— Elle, 11/22/2013" Jack goes after Alex Kork with a vengenance after she murders one of Jack's loved ones. Excellent book!! e-reader "
— Moondance, 10/28/2013" Although being unemployed makes it easier to find time to read, this one was still another good one that I finished in 24 hours. "
— Dulcie, 6/22/2013" LOVED it!! these books keep getting better and better! "
— Wendy, 11/10/2012" It does not disappoint. I can write very little without giving it away, but it is a must read for anyone enjoying the series so far and if you hae not read this series grab a copy of whiskey sour and get reading. Kudos to JA Konrath "
— Marianne, 9/8/2012" This one engagd me. Because I'm coming off a few disappointments? Maybe, but the action felt real and the characters are under real stress. Maybe because the characters have matured. Will have to check out one of the earlier ones I skipped and see how it fares. "
— Debby, 7/30/2012" Well this one is hard to give a review w/o giving away to much. Revenge is a dish Konrath servers up well. _ "
— Amber, 10/18/2011" Another in the Life of Jack Daniels and are we in for surprises. So she has to bury her boyfriend, his family hates her, she has been taken off the case and a savage serial killer wants a piece of her. How bad can it get? Trust me, it can get worse! "
— William, 5/26/2010" I am sick to death of Alex. I love Konrath's style and dialogue but this was not the bomb for me. A tad too bloody and I hated the monkey !!!! "
— Leslie, 11/25/2009" Another great book in the series. Love this series. "
— Luanne, 10/10/2008" One reviewer's comment that the book is "by turns horrifying and hilarious" is very apt. A fun, irreverent thriller, but the crimes--torturing women to death are not my cup of tea. Of course, I HAD to read to the end to find out how Jack Daniels corners the sociopath! "
— itpdx, 11/30/2007" I think this was the first of the Jack Daniels mysteries. Either way they're all great! Sometimes you have to read them by peeking through your fingers, but great quick fun reads. Also Jack kicks ass, Konrath does a great job writing a woman. "
