" The fact this book dragged on and had brought in almost entirily new plot after three hundred pages took away from a story that otherwise was intriguing! However if you Read the Bastion Club books you have to read this one, even if it is so not connect to the club! "

Phoebe actions are so out of character for someone with her history that I constantly found myself shaking my head (she was almost sexually assaulted years ago, never let anyone near her, yet within a short time she is trying to seduce Deverell..yeah, right). "

" After reading two of these Bastion Club books, anyone could write one. Laurens gives new meaning to formulated writing. Lord Handsome meets Lady Beautiful, takes her on a step-by-step seduction, with a tiny little plot, not enough to hold the story together. Lady is kidnapped, Lord rescues her, and they live happily ever after as partners reaching for the sky and falling to earth as one. Ugh!! "

" Another great book in the Bastion Club series!! What I like most about romance books is the "chase." Lauren's heroes are so alpha and won't leave you wanting in that area. Plots are well written and you don't ever want to put the book down until the last page!! Steamy romantic read. "

" Put this one down 30 pages in and then picked it up after reading another Bastion Club. A little slow at the beginning and the last 1/3 or so but a good story. Again, the interactions of the club members was a more interesting than the romance. "
