"Some of his rules are common sense if you know the basics of eating healthy, and some of them are hard to accomplish. I liked that his book was filled with statistical research, but it was almost overkill. It ends with recipes and a meal plan, but I am never a fan of any recipes a health book has to offer. This one wasn't any different. It's definitely a motivating book with lots of good information though!"

" This book is about how to eat healthy, whether you need to lose weight or not. He gives great nutrition advice, meal plans for both men and women who are trying to lose weight and quite a few recipes that I look forward to trying. "
— Terri, 2/14/2014" Easy to read, plenty of good suggestions, and menu and recipe options. I'll definitely incorporate some of the "rules" into my life. Luckily some are already in place! "
— Alicia, 2/9/2014" Really like the format. Was quick and easy. No nonsense. Also really loved the 30 day meal plan. Laying out breakfast, lunch and dinner options I can stick with. Also like how he tells you to stock the pantry and fridge and make one day your prep for the week. This is absolutely what I needed to take the guesswork out of planning and make it fast and healthy if you are on the go! "
— Kristie, 2/2/2014" good general healthy eating tips. even if you are just trying to get healthier and not necessarily trying to lose weight. the recipes in the back were just wasted on me, but didn't seem too complicated and could probably done by someone who likes to cook. gonna try to incorporate some of the rules into my daily living and see howit does. "
— Candice, 1/22/2014" Nothing new here. Drink a lot of water; eat protein; fruit is good, especially apples and berries; don't drink your calories, especially soda or flavored coffee; reduce salt; get plenty of sleep. There, I just saved you $25. How does he keep selling books with the same advice? If you really want to save money, you can read most of this book online at Amazon's look inside feature. "
— Jeanne, 1/15/2014" I would say this was between a 2 and a 3 for me. I HATE he title, and I think it will turn a lot of people off, although arguably it won't turn off Biggest Loser fans. His 'rules' are good, basic, and backed by science. There just wasn't enough extra here for me to find this useful. "
— Grumpylibrarian, 1/10/2014" Straightforward....easy to prepare recipes...It is about a lifestyle change and not a gimmick. I really think I can do this. "
— Mary, 12/29/2013" This book reminded me of a few things I had forgotten, but I can't say it was anything new. It was worth my time, but not something I would strongly recommend. "
— Bonnie, 12/23/2013" Great tips that a person can actually follow!!! "
— Becky, 12/23/2013" A little bit too constricting with the rules and time limits for eating. "
— Laura, 12/14/2013" Not really any new information "
— Crystal, 12/6/2013" Good basic reminder about how to make healthy choices in eating. "
— Lisa, 11/29/2013" Good advice- It's worked for lots of people on the Biggest Loser. A lot of it seems pretty common sense. "
— Tami, 11/10/2013" It was good. A good review, though I didn't learn anything new and I was really hoping to. It also didn't talk much about fueling for athletes which I thought was lacking. "
— Nicole, 10/23/2013" Choose the audio version to hear the gleeful cackling of Bob as he tells you what you should and should not eat. "
— Sam, 10/4/2013" This is a well organized book that explains what to eat and drink, what not to eat and drink, contains menus and tools for losing weight. It also has recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The suggestions are easy to incorporate and do not include any type of fad diet. "
— Linda, 9/29/2013" Many rules are common sense, but I must admit that they have definitely contributed to my weight loss. "
— Barbara, 8/9/2013" Quick and easy read. Overall I was familiar with the rules Bob presented but I did learn a couple new tidbits. I love Bob's tone of voice and I'm excited to try some of his recipes! "
— Samantha, 7/2/2013" Amazing book. I'm keeping it as a reference. I've already lost nine pounds since December 26th. His reasoning makes sense and gives incentive on why someone would follow it. I've learned that moderation and exercise alone do not work for me. I'm encouraged by the results and hope to stick to it. "
— Kellie, 5/8/2013" I really liked this book. The rules were simple and to the point. Some are harder to follow than others, but I liked having a set of rules to guide me everyday. I also liked several of the recipes. Can't wait to try them out. "
— Debbie, 3/27/2013" A lot of good info here,,, and a lot of common sense too. Nice compact book with lots of recipes to try. "
— Glennie, 3/27/2013" A quick, easy read. Same principles in my favorite nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle book, Eat to Live. Liked some of the recipes. "
— Miss, 12/12/2012" OK, Bob, inspire me!!! "
— HeatherJay, 10/24/2012" Love this book. Love the list of non-negotiable rules. Love that I learned how to eat properly. I can incorporate all the rules into my life and not feel like I'm on a diet. It's not a diet, it's the way to eat. Thanks! "
— Corinne, 7/23/2012" Some good common sense advice on keeping weight off and being healthy. I object to his resistance of carbs, especially complex carbohydrates. I feel totally great eating those after lunch which is something he advices against. There seems to be some great recipes in here as well. "
— Jenny, 7/4/2012" Great book except calorie recommendations too low. Diety. Do what he says but eat more food. "
— Kerry, 6/30/2012" Lots of good tips that I am going to try to implement. Easy and fun read... "
— Leigh, 5/19/2012" I liked this book for the information it provided but it was somewhat of a dry read. I would suggest skimming the book. Several of the recipes that I tried were yummy and the meal plans can be helpful. "
