"The message is good, but essentially, the predecessor to The Secret. What I enjoyed about this book--and remember it's the updated version--is that it boils down intentions into a much more workable formula. At least in my opinion. This book also includes the original text at the back, which was written by Wattles in 1910! So it's really fascinating to see how some of his predictions have come to pass. His theory is that everyone is meant to be materially rich. And since the universe essentially is in a constant state of flux and movement, the laws of nature mean that we as humans can tap into that positive, forward change by holding our intention to be wealthy and changing the way we view upsets and downturns. Worth reading if you're into this type of philosophy."

" I also came to this book via The Secret. The title is very misleading. It is NOT a "get rich quick" guide. It's a book about changing your thought patterns and attitudes about how you approach life. Concepts are echoes of quantum physics, and it's very enlightening if you can get past the turn-of-the-century prose style. Best part: the book is free, thanks to public domain law. At last a book worth more than the paper it's printed on! As other reviewers have said, Wattles was a visionary and ahead of his time. Read it and stop whining! "

About Wallace D. Wattles
Wallace D. Wattles (1860–1911) was born in the United States in 1860, shortly before the Civil War. Later in life, he began his tireless study of the religious beliefs and philosophies of the world. It was through this relentless examination of such philosophers as Descartes, Hegel, and Ralph Waldo Emerson that he developed his own principles and successfully applied them to his life before he shared them with the world in his innovative 1910 book, The Science of Getting Rich. He died one year later. Wattles’ ideas have lived on to inspire future generations to greatness.
