“You can’t help but fall in love with Lynsay Sands!”
—New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd
Lynsay Sands—the perennial USA Today and New York Times bestselling author well-known and loved for her delightful novels featuring the Argeneau family of vampires—once again shows us another side with Taming the Highland Bride, the second in the wonderfully witty, supremely sexy historical romance series she kicked off with Devil of the Highlands. With Taming the Highland Bride, the incomparable Lynsay pays homage to the immortal Bard, William Shakespeare, as she delights readers with a tale of a smitten Scotsman’s determined efforts to tame his beautiful, hot-tempered fiancée, the notorious “Stewart Shrew.”

"In book one it wants you to look outside the book so I used that as the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and tried throughout the whole book to guess who it would be that wasn't too obvious! Then it turns out I was right in the first guess that I wrote off because it was SOOO obvious! Good job keeping us on our toes!"

“Sands again demonstrates her superb ability to write an exciting story full of intrigue and passion, while making the reader smile at the humor woven into the fabric of the romance. Her characters display an emotional depth that complements her moving depiction of the Highlands.”
— RT Book Reviews (Top Pick!)“A mixture of sexy romance and humor.”
— Publishers Weekly" it's was funny :D "
— Minne, 1/21/2014" I find these books are precitable in the sense that by the third book I was expecting someone to be shot by an arrow, sorry but it's true. All in all it was still a good story, not like the Argeneau series but still good. "
— Julie, 1/13/2014" Taming the Highlander Bride was Funny, romantic, exciting, and a page tuner. Got love a solid highlander romance novel. 4 star sir, if you please. (starting to like Lynsay Sands books) "
— Kaila, 12/26/2013" I always find Lynsay Sand's books as nice, light, enjoyable reads ans this was no exception. Although this series is not as funny as her Argeneau books, the story lines are written just as well. ****semi-spoiler**** It was very nice to see Merry and Alex clearing the air from the beginning with regards to the first day/night misunderstandings and we didn't spend the next 200 pgs stumbling over almost finding out the truth with regards to said misunderstandings. This allowed for the story plot to move along and develop into a mystery of who dunnit. Over all a very well written story, as usual, from Ms. Sands. "
— Puggy02, 12/16/2013" I'm trying to dabble into other historical eras and decided on a Scottish tale by yet another author I never read before. At times even though I found some of her descriptive narrations a little long, I still enjoyed her novel and could not put it down. "
— Cynthia, 12/15/2013" Just as good if not better than the first book! I love how everything panned out in the end! The characters were equally as good as the first book. The story line was great, and it still kept me guessing till the very end. on to the third book!!! "
— Karry, 12/13/2013" Not too bad of a story. It was a solid read and the sex was pretty hot. =) "

— Kristen, 11/8/2013" Not as good as the two companions to this story, the whole drinking misunderstanding between the hero and heroine seemed stretched and hard to believe. But, it was still an easy way to escape for a couple of hours. "
— TJ, 8/5/2013" It was a 3.5 for me, I liked the other two stories better but it was still a great series "
— Pam, 7/22/2013" a story about learning how to not be judgemental of the different genders and understand that just because one man drinks doesn't mean every other man in the world drinks too muuch... "
— Taya, 6/8/2013" A classic Historical Romance from Lynsay Sands. Always a pleasure! "

— Mydearloverboy, 5/30/2012" Misunderstandings, mistrust, and rumors about Merry being a shrew give this fast-paced read a lot of twists. Alex is a patient guy which adds to his charm. Quick wit and laughs all the way through. "
— Rebecca, 4/25/2012" I liked this book. Maybe more a 4.5 but I enjoyed it. "

— Elaine, 5/22/2011" The beginning of this book fustrated me. All the things happening to Alexander made me want to throw the book across the room. Merry got on my nerves a little in the beginning. But the second half of the book was great though. Alex was really sweet. "
— Allison, 4/29/2011" Very predictable. I enjoyed the 1st book a lot better.
How can a "warrior" not know how to protect himself.... he gets knocked out too many times! "
— Alicia, 4/16/2011" Another nice romance mystery...
Nicely unpredictable as usual "
— Sunny, 2/18/2011" I find these books are precitable in the sense that by the third book I was expecting someone to be shot by an arrow, sorry but it's true. All in all it was still a good story, not like the Argeneau series but still good. "

— Rebecca, 9/4/2010" It was slightly disappointing. I couldn't stick with it and had to force myself to read it. It still had its same funny humor but the storyline was long and slightly boring. Sad, because I love her. Good book though. "
— Courtney, 8/17/2010" Not as good as the two companions to this story, the whole drinking misunderstanding between the hero and heroine seemed stretched and hard to believe. But, it was still an easy way to escape for a couple of hours. "
