"I liked this collection of stories by the author I have heard of her and always wanted to read stuff by her, but never actually got the chance so I thought this was a good place to start. Most of the stories really grabbed me and the couple that didnt I still liked just not as much. There is an Anita Blake story which made me excited to start that series since that is in my list of things to read as soon as they get here. I also enjoyed reading the intoroduction although there were a few times she talked about how stories got rejected and that got a little annoying after the first couple."

" A collection of Laurell Hamilton's short stories. There are only a few stories that star Anita Blake the rest are great works that are fast and fun. "
— Melissa, 2/1/2014" This isn't the typical book that I would've seen, it's short stories the author has written mostly (but not all) about Anita Blake (and other characters). "
— Amber, 1/31/2014" I really loved this book. It was nice to get a taste of Laurell's short stories! "
— April, 1/22/2014" This is the second time I have read through Strange Candy. It is a good mix of stories. Some are great, some are not, but it is a great read for those who like Laurell K. Hamilton. "
— Amanda, 1/12/2014" Fairly uneven but on a whole enjoyable. A good read for a lazy hot day to be sure. The fantasy stories were definite low points, the fresh setting stories the high points. "

— colleen, 1/12/2014" Since I've read everything I can get my hands on by LKH I might be biased. But I love love love her short stories. In this collection my all time favorite "Here be Dragons". In these stories we get to see LKH play. I'm just glad she lets is watch. "
— Jill, 12/2/2013" Only read the Anita story, Those Who Seek Forgiveness, and the second one, A Lust of Cupids, because I liked Laurell's intro to that one story. "
— ZaBeth, 11/18/2013" I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book, but ended up really enjoying it. It was a great introduction to fantasy reading. "
— Megan, 10/8/2013" I hate short stories... the shorts were good, but I could only read a few before tired that the stories didn't develop. "
— Nicole, 7/27/2013" Just eh. Some of the stories were just cheesy. She is a better writer than this. "
