The grave is one wrong step away.
Having narrowly averted an (under) world war, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans’ voodoo queen just keeps on giving—leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit.
Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he takes physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive. This year, however, a determined Cat and Bones must risk all to send him back to the other side of eternity—forever. But how do you kill a killer who’s already long dead?

"This book scared me. I thought for sure there would be no way for them to overcome Kramer but I am glad they did. WHEW! I really liked this story and loved the way she incorporated all the characters. I can't wait for the next book!"

— Fresh Fiction" As much as I have enjoyed the previous books, this one grates on my nerves. I'm not sure what it is exactly that annoys me so much. Maybe the sense that there's no growth to Cat/Bones in this book. "
— Lesli, 1/27/2014" Through the course of this series, I've gone up and down on my feelings for these books. This one was definitely one of the low points. A problem I'm finding with the romance between Cat and Bones is that they seem to mostly relive the past but don't seem to make any progress in there relationship in the newer books. This book should have been classified under urban fantasy or fantasy alone not paranormal romance because the romance seems to be secondary and in the background. Overall, an okay read but I think I'm through with this series at least for now. "
— Komal, 1/18/2014" While Night Huntress is one of my favorite series and I love it. I must say I was disappointed with One grave at a time. Maybe my expectations were too high but it was lacking most of the things I love about Cat and Bones. While I still flew through it dying to know what happened next when I got to the end I was like is that it?? I didn't like the ghost storyline as much as the others in the past and while I appreciate that Cat and Bones relationship has matured I missed the flirting banter and well lets face it sexy time we got in previous books. Still very much looking forward to the next book and of course Vlads upcoming book also! "
— Jenine, 1/5/2014" Loved, Loved, Loved! Review soon to come! "
— Ava, 12/28/2013" Really brilliant installment that takes Kat on a little detour from her usual issues with the Vampire heirarchy to solve and slay a ghostly witchhunter. "
— Lucy, 12/9/2013" I think this book will be just as great as all the other books in this series.. I love Cat and Bones. "
— Melissa, 9/24/2013" Just when I think it can't get any crazier...it does. A great read, and I love Cat and Bones together. "
— Kathy, 9/9/2013" I enjoyed "seeing" Cat and Bones again and I enjoyed the humor in this book. However, I feel that this series must be drawing to a close. There just isn't any "magic" left in it for me. :( "
— Christy, 9/8/2013" I like Bones and all, but Vlad is the man and he doesn't show up in this one so I'm really disappointed. Yeah, yeah I know it's probably because he is getting his own series, but it doesn't change how I feel. I missed him. "
— Cortney, 9/8/2013" Loved to see Bones and Cat and their friends again. Lots of action but the storyline didn't do anything for me. New characters , Tyler was great loved a lot of his parts of the book but Madigan was irritating and i ended up fast flipping through his bits. "
— Irene, 8/28/2013" This was the weakest of the series so far for me. An action packed ending does not make up for a weak plot and very slow start. There was also a noticeable lack of humour in this one too. Not one of my faves. "
— Kirsty, 8/11/2013" LOVE THIS SERIES, i thought the ending could of been better all that lead up and the ending was just ok "
— Tracy, 7/4/2013" I need more Bones which sadly I didnt get in this series... So 3.5 stars olny. Though I'm pretty excited with the christmas novella!!!the only salvation I got was from the foul mouthed vampire... Ian. So loving his sinfuness... "
— Lola, 2/24/2013" Pretty good for Book 6 in a series. Bones and Cat were strong and I got to see a little Tate. "
— Shelly, 3/8/2012" Awesome story line as usual. This is one of my favorite vampire series. "
— Wsb, 1/11/2012" I love all of this series. They're so addicting. I never want to put them down. Cat and Bones are by far my favorite fictional couple and I love almost every character in this series. They're a must read. "
— Autumn, 11/7/2011" The story was okay but it didn't resonate with me. That said, I had fun with Cat and Bones though I think the earlier books where much better in terms of portraying Bone's character. That said, I still love Bones though. I'm definitely ready for a break and moving onto Vlad's story next. "
— Deanna, 10/26/2011" this book was GREAT i love Bones and Cat together they are one ass kicking couple "
— Renee, 10/23/2011" Series not really suitable for school. "
— Anne, 10/23/2011" I thought it was really good. "
