An immortal war has been brewing in the darkness—and now one woman has stumbled into the shadows.
Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking. But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn. Suddenly she finds herself in a world she’s only imagined in her worst nightmares.
At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master vampire who thought he’d seen it all. Then Kira appears—this fearless, beautiful human who braved death to rescue him. Though he burns for her, keeping Kira in his world means risking her life. Yet sending her away is unthinkable.
With danger closing in, Mencheres must choose either the woman he craves or embracing the darkest magic to defeat an enemy bent on his eternal destruction.

"I didn't like this quite as much as The First Drop of Crimson, but I did anjoy getting to see another side of Mencheres. This one seemed a little rushed, but there was always plenty of action to keep it rolling along nicely, so it might just have been that I read it too quickly. A little disjointed in some places, but a thoroughly enjoyable way to a few hours."

“In the second spin-off from the bestselling Night Huntress series, Frost produces a tale that is wildly romantic as well as action-packed. If Frost keeps this up, fans will need to build more keeper shelves!”
— RT Book Reviews (4½ stars, Top Pick!)“Romantic. Surprising. Beautiful…Eternal Kiss of Darkness is one of the best offerings in the entire Night Huntress collection.”
— Greenabsinthia Book Blog“The tension between these two characters simply sizzles off the pages. I kid you not.”
— Smokin’ Hot Books" LOVED getting to know Mencheres. Bones will always be #1, but Mencheres is a close second!! "
— Brenda, 2/3/2014" I would love to find my own Mencheres...this book starts out a bit slow, but picks up and races towards the finish...great action and steamy romance. Mencheres powers are too cool :) "
— Dana*aka, 1/23/2014" Loved it! Mencheres is one sexy, yet irritating vampire! "
— Saralyn, 1/15/2014" I never thought of Mencheres as being hot in the Night Huntress books, but whew! He blew me away in Eternal Kiss of Darkness, although I have a thing against guys with long hair. Kira was a great heroine too. This book did not disappoint me, and was almost as amazing as the Night Huntress series. "
— Laceyblossom, 12/24/2013" I liked this book a lot better than I thought I would. Though I loved the initial Night Huntress series, I never cared much for Mencheres. He really came to life in this book. Very enjoyable and got me excited for more Night Huntress spin-offs. "
— Daisy, 12/9/2013" Fun read! Enjoyed it a lot. I loved the scene where they are hiding in the ocean and his hair is floating in the water. Great tension between the characters. Love how she shushes a 4000 year old vampire! Awesome. "
— Shawna, 10/24/2013" This book is a must read before Night Huntress #6 if you do not want to feel like you have missed something. LOVE the series and all the characters. "
— Deb8coach, 9/15/2013" I love the Huntress Series, so this was a good continuation of some characters. And I must say Mencheres, is a inviting character. "
— Pinda, 8/24/2013" and mencheres proved to me to be the best man out there...oh well one of the best if i include bones and spade and Ian... but this was a good book to read. loved it. frost delivered again "
— Esther, 8/17/2013" This book was pretty good but not as great as the other books. But I'm still glad I read this and the previous book because I have a feeling I will need this info going into the next Cat and Bones book. "
— Marie, 5/16/2013" Just as bad as the other Night Huntress World book... "
— Seiko, 1/13/2013" I really like this series. I hope the auther gives Ian a good heroin next. "
— Whitney, 10/5/2012" getting burned out on the glut of vampire novels i've been reading. i blame felicia day for rating jeaniene frost novels so high. this was good, some of the 'vampire stalking' descriptions reminded me of twilight. i'll need to take a break from this genre ... once i finish that one last novel. "
— Tina, 9/29/2012" I enjoyed the story, although I read it out of order. Glad to see Vlad had a part in the book as well as C & B. "
— Nette, 1/22/2012" I really enjoyed this- much more than First Drop of Crimson. I identified much more with Kira than I did with Denise and I enjoyed reading more about Mencheres. "
— Bookgirlie, 8/13/2011" Loved this book. Very romantic. Couldn't put it down until the end. "
— Trader, 5/19/2011" Pretty good overall. It kept me wondering how the ending was going to actually end. It's always a good thing when books keep you guessing. :) "
— D'mi, 5/19/2011" enjoyed this book but wish it had a bit more closure for the end but i hope that means another book is in the making :) "
— Aileen, 5/4/2011" I am glad she has done a spin off. Please give us more. Love it!<br/> "
