Publisher Description

Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother’s life. Then she’s captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership. In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She’s amazed she doesn’t end up as his dinner…are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon, Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn’t have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side—and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

" I really enjoyed this book. It has a lot of action in it by a kick ass chick with romance as well! This book kind of reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because of the main character and the Vampire boyfriend! The only thing I didn't like about this book was it felt like the relationship between Bones and Cat progressed too quickly. I felt like some of the getting to know you part was rushed. But other than that overall a very well written book with a great plot! Can't wait to read the next one. "

" REAd this book!!!! I loved it so much!! It was like taking all the best parts from all my favorit stories and putting them in one. WEll done Jeaniene, well done. I love Bones, Can I have him? I also have to say thank you to the book for not leading me on with a love story that a 12 year old will have. the love story was Adult, wich thank you for that I get so sick of reading these books only to have the love intrest say " I like you , I like you too lets hold hands" like 12 years old just starting dating, this book didn't do that thank god! I cann't wait to start the next book and I have all my freinds already starting on this one. "

" What a good story!!! I really loved getting to know Cat and Bones. Cat is a strong, spunky, feisty little red-head and Bones is a sexy, sarcastic Vampire with an English accent. These two make a great pair, I love their interactions. There is romance, action and a lot of humor thrown in too. Great start to a new series for me. Oh, and a great cliffhanger at the end too, can't wait to start the next one!!!!!!!!!! Hightly recommended series for my paranormal loving pals!! "

" As much as this is romance, it has enough horror, action and adventure to reel in just about anyone. Bones is the coolest hitman you'll ever meet, and you'll not only love the 'courtship', but the laugh out loud moments that will make people think you've lost your mind. Great read! "

" The characters were just sort of...blank. The hero reads like Charlie from Charlie's Angels--just a voice giving instructions, no personality. And I'm not too comfortable with a love affair between a completely inexperienced, naive woman and a man who has beat the crap out of her repeatedly--calling it "training" doesn't make it ok. Left a sour taste in my mouth. "

" Take Blade and Anita Blake, a mature Spike as a love interest, and add in a whole heap of religious shame and you've got this book. All the derivation is a little bit annoying, but overall it's a fast and enjoyable read. "

" It was a little...mature for teenage readers such as myself but I enjoyed it. I loved the heroine and adored her hero. It was funny, romantic (some may call it other things) and full with action. The entire series was great in fact. "

" 2.5 stars. I agree with Felicia day when she says this is a Buffy rip off. I also hate it when everyone wants to jump the main character's bones because she's just irresistibly sexy. I think I got halfway through book 3 before I quit this series. "
